Phase closing and wait times - holidays 2012

DW went to work at MK this morning and said traffic at MK tll plaza was backed up to the Epcot turn off on World Drive. I'll be making magic in motion with the Disney buses tonight at Downtown Disney. Merry Christmas everyone!

Hoping to make it down over the holidays one year not for the rides but to see all the decorations and holiday shows guess I should plan on Extremely early to very late days. Best of luck Merry Xmas and just remember the worst day at Disney is better then then the best day at work.

Don't come during Christmas week. Come about a week before Christmas. All the the holiday decorations are already up and all Christmas Entertainment at Epcot will still be happening. You'll have far less crowds and more enjoyable days!

Just leaving MK at 1pm. Space was at 115 mins, Buzz 110, Stitch 30. At 10am, Belle was already 70mins. Walkways are packed but things arent as crazy as they could be. Heading to Epcot now, will try to give update later.

I've been driving guests all over today. Crowds are heavy, but MK is a madhouse. We had to reroute buses to avoid the traffic jam at the toll plaza.

What is the reroute route ? Floridian Way to Seven Seas Drive ? Best of luck to everyone working transportation the next week !

i would like to try Christmas eve or day just one time, been there for the holidays, but want to see the full force of the crowds and all the nuttiness. Everyone down there have fun. Merry Christmas!

From AK, Osceola Parkway, left on Victory Way, right on Buena Vista Drive, left on Bonnet Creek Parkway, left on Vista to CT, Poly, and GF.

Roads looked clear to me at around 1:30pm. Mediumish traffic.

Cars were lined up 15-20 deep at 1:30pm. Busy but not gridlocked. No idea if its still that way now.

Little Mermaid is not a short ride. It feels like a classic Epcot ride in length. Very WoM, Imagination or Horizons like in its length.

Eh...all the parks seem to have normal waits today EXCEPT the Magic Kingdom. No surprise there though...seeing as how it's the best of the four.

Some of those waits sound well ... typical. ... When does TT ever have less than a 90-minute wait ... or Soarin? Or even the old relic Space Mtn?

I just don't get the insanity involved in seeing a wait over 30 minutes ... (I'll say 45-50 since it's Christmas week) and getting into that line. There's always things with lesser waits and even on the busiest of days (like today) waits will go down on the others during parades/fireworks etc.

I can't imagine waiting in those types of lines because I just never have and never would. That's not fun, that's torture.

Studios used to be last, but MK has sorta fallen to the bottom ... and New Fantasyland is simply lipstick on a pig at this point.
