Pet Peeve parents who take their kids to the parks in pajamas

Your logic is flawed.
But I'll help you:
I believe I am better than any adult who wears pajamas in public.

I can appreciate that -trust me. I'm just trying to help you better understand others' angst when it comes to holding of, and God forbid the expression of said observation.

So, we have defined "better than everyone else" so far down that you believe there is something wrong when a person believes there is something wrong when an adult wears pajamas outside in public?

No, I believe there is something wrong with you not minding your own business, and your silly belief that because someone makes a choice you don't agree with that you're somehow better than they are.

Except your not, in fact you're worse. I'd rather hang out with someone in their PJs than an overtly pretentious snob any day of the week.

Your logic is flawed.

Are you expecting a 1st place ribbon?

Oh sheesh. File this thread under the category of Judgy Judges Judging Everyone.

We've seen this thread before, in various incarnations - people offended by people in short shorts; people offended by people wearing tank tops at dinner; people offended by people having a drink with dinner; basically people just being offended.

Isn't there enough to keep you and your family occupied at WDW without having to gripe and grouch about what other people are wearing or doing? Why not just enjoy yourself in the way that you choose, and let others do the same? If looking at someone in pajamas makes your brain hurt, try looking at something else instead. If Disney allows that (and I didn't know they did), it is nobody's business but the person wearing the pajamas (and/or the parent).

The self-elected World Police on here are getting a little out of control.

this thread is so strange to me, as it seems it is to quite a few others.

Why would anyone care what others wear...it has no bearing on your enjoyment.

If someone wants to wear pajamas, how does it impact me or my trip. For my family, there is little that will ever impact us at Disney. As long as there is nothing inappropriate (foul language, etc..)

wow this thread turned ugly fast.
nobody mentioned adults in pjs in the OP lmao! that somhow ended up being dragged into it somewhere along the line

my daughter will be 3 when we go, still stroller age, if we go out until late in the evening I don't see an issue with my little kiddo being in pjs in her stroller!

a lot of people on here judging other peoples parenting skills is a bit out of order to be fair! shouldn't judge others when you don't know the full story!

plus if its not affecting you, why do you even care?

people saying its a health risk wearing pjs to the parks? im sorry how is it any different to wearing regular clothes in the parks? lol
do you walk around in a hazmat suit all day ?? lol

anyways this thread was both eye opening to the community on here and also entertaining all at once.

thanks for the giggles!

You can be right and unhappy, or just let it go....

Unless someone is infringing on my ability to have an awesome time, I don’t worry about it. Life is too damn short.

Personally, I would never wear PJs to the parks (I don't wear PJs lol)...but if I ever did, you can be sure I'd be rockin' these! (barbell included)

It literally makes absolutely no difference to your life whatsoever. No point letting such minor things bug you to such an extent, life is too short. The kids probably love being in their super comfy clothes, I know I'd rather go to MK in my PJ's if I could. I even go the shops in my PJ's sometimes. :hilarious:

I'm not sure anybody on this thread has said that they are affected, that they need to swoon into their sick bed because they saw someone wearing pajamas in a park. The original question was is this OK. In my opinion, it's not. But I make no judgements on anyone who allows this within their family.

It is judgmental.
There's nothing wrong with judgmental, matter of fact - it used to be an aid in preventing things like oh... Adults going out in pajamas, or people bringing their dog with them everywhere they go.
Or eating so much that you've grown to a size where you can't even walk anymore.
We all judge - so do you.
Wow.

People should be able to look and dress how they want, take their dog where they want and eat what they want without people like you looking down their nose at them. It has no impact on your daily life whatsoever. So an adult in PJ's whilst rushing to the hospital because their loved one has been in a serious accident is a "juvenile imbecile" who is "too lazy and lacks the self respect to get changed before leaving the house"?

They are able to look and dress however they want.
And the reference is not to making an emergency room run to the hospital in the middle of the night.
It is to making the choice to go out in public - in this case WDW in pajamas - and yes, I would look down my nose at such people.

I love this thread.
I love that some people have lowered the bar so much, and actually defend it to the point where they consider it pompous to laugh at adults out in public in pajamas.
Can standards go any lower?
Can people care any less about themselves?

It's not really about people wearing pajamas in public, it's more about how you should just mind your own business and live your own life. Don't worry about them, and maybe they'll worry a bit less about you.

It means:
"I'm too lazy to change out of what I slept in."
"I'm too lazy to put any effort in my outward appearance."

If you ever saw or remember the Seinfeld episode where George started wearing sweatpants, Jerry replied to him:
"You know the message you're sending out to the world with these sweatpants?"
"I give up."
"I can't compete in normal society."
"I'm miserable, so I might as well be comfortable."

Except that it's VACATION. Who are you competing with on vacation? Why even go on vacation if you aren't going to be comfortable?
