PERSONAL CHECKLIST AND HOW TO GET JUDGED IN THIS THREAD
Wears cargo shorts sometimes...check!
Has tattoos...check!
Has multiple piercings...check!
Showers twice a day...check!

Only thing missing from my list is wearing PJs to the parks. I'm not really willing to try that one though.

I have a serious question though. If Disney did a overnight slumber party for the parks one night, say from midnight to 6am and actually encouraged guests to show up in PJs for this special ticketed event - would many on here be vehemently opposed to that idea?

If it annoys people enough to rant about it in an internet forum, I might.

I’m still wearing cargos not matter what you all say.

And unless you’re John Cena, jorts are out.

By the way, I want to make it clear I was joking about being judged. I do all those things, but it doesn't bother me if someone thinks of me differently because of those things. Heck, I don't blame someone for judging my cargos or piercings. We're all unique in many ways, none of us are immune to judging or being judged. It's what makes us human.

Truth be told, we've probably all been Judge Wapners, Judge Dredds and Judge Judys in some fashion at some point in our lives.

I wouldn't do it myself but that could be fun for the right family.

Dapper Day seems to be clip on tie day. If you want to wear a tie, even a bow tie, learn how to tie one and wear a real one.

Dunno if it’s been said (because I’m not going to go through 20 pages of the back and forth), but if you’re wanting to avoid the PJ police, I recommend dresses (maxis are practically as comfortable as pajamas) and athleisure wear (daytime pajamas).

You’re welcome. :joyfull:

Yes!!!

We do a “Polar Express” train ride every year, I wear leggings and a comfy sweatshirt, and bring a throw.. kiddo wears pjs and a robe. (You’re encouraged to wear pajamas)

So yes, we would do that.

That’s what I’m saying. Last November I completely ran out of time and wasn’t able to get a manicure before we left for vacay.. I went to 3 parks with nail polish that was chipped. It LOOKED horrible. I’m sure people judged me, I just didn’t really care (ok I admit, I kind of cared). Got a manicure the next day.

How the hell should I know? I've never, in fact, met you.

I get what you're going for here. You're doing the routine that you wouldn't dare judge somebody based on their appearance. I call BS. You say you have tattoos. What would you think if you met someone who had tattoos... of giant genitalia, right on their face?
Is the last part a typical Saturday night? 😉 j/k

As someone with quite a few tattoos, I laugh at the judgement. If someone forms a negative opinion, you don’t need them. One of my favorite sayings to my wife is...are they more than a hair on your a$$ the last day of your life? If not, then no issue at all

That's sweet, but it ain't how the world works. You're free to dress how you want, that's true. I can't stop you. But likewise, you can't stop me from forming an opinion based on the way you choose to present yourself to the world. If you dress like a slob, it's likely indicative that you are a slob. This is well documented in the psychology and sociology academic research.
I suffer from a chronic illness, which causes lax muscles which in turn means unstable joints, prone to dislocation. I am tired 99% of the time, yet work 9 hours a day 5 days a week, go home, cook dinner & do the house work. I dress in leggings and comfortable clothing not because I'm a slob, but because I like to be as comfortable as I can considering how much pain I am usually in and how tired I am. Doesn't make me a slob, nor does it make anyone else a slob.

You are entitled to your own opinions, but not when your opinion is being judgmental and rude to other people.

I wear leggings because...
I like them.

Girl, you don’t need to explain yourself. :)

I have had 3 shoulder operations due to dislocations, mostly from years of wrestling....they are awful....my sympathies to you and let me be the first to say....you are tough as he!! and dress how you want

I 100% don't, however I don't like the idea of people casting judgement on someone based off the clothing that they wear. Makes me so mad. Leggings are comfortable as hell, and I encourage every man to try them out and they will soon realise why us ladies wear them ;)
Sorry, I have to say, the thought of me and any of my buddies in leggings is a revolting image.

I'll take your word on the comfort

Thank you very much, it can be a lot to deal with considering I am only 22, and struggle to even pick up a frying pan because of how weak my muscles are! Recently been told I might have to have the ligaments in my wrist reconstructed which is 6 months recovery, so you bet your I will be spending most of it in PJ's and leggings ;)

Being judgmental and being rude are two different things. Every single person on the planet makes an initial judgment of every person they encounter. That's just a fact. Of course nobody has a right to be rude, and if I met somebody with face tattoos wearing leggings and slippers out in public, I'd be perfectly polite to them.

For the record, this entire thread was a lot of sarcastic tongue-in-cheek humor until people like you showed up and got all sensitive about it. Lighten up.

You can!!

My son has 4 pair of denim and 2 other pants hanging in his closet with tags still on them, since March.

Why? Because he is Obsessed with the pants shown below. Those and shorts are all he wants to wear now. I know a lot of adult men who wear them as well.

Soccer pants and capris are basically public-appropriate leggings for men!

Oh boy you've gone off the deep end on this one. Your eight year old's closet is not indicative of appropriate clothing for grown men.

Unless they're actively engaged in some kind of athletic competition, men should be wearing natural fibers only.

Personal experience tells me that judgmental people are rude. It's 2018, people should be able to wear what they like without it being judged by someone else. The only time the statement "people can do what they like" doesn't stand is when it's going to cause harm or discriminate against anyone else.

For the record, the majority of this thread has been people casting judgement and calling people slobs for wearing pyjamas in public. Not sure that's sarcasm... Not sensitive, just don't like people insulting people based on what they choose to wear, especially when it has no impact on someone elses lives whatsoever, and you have no idea the reasons why this person is wearing it.
