I don't think October is too soon. The Christmas party starts in November...

Disney likes Halloween from mid August-Nov 1.

Labour Day is 6 months from now. And they have to do hiring and rehearsals first.

Certainly they would like to do it. But I'm not feeling so confident that everything will line up and be ready in time.

Plus they're trying to launch the 50th in October. Thinking that will be the marketing focus at that time.

Anyone else get the feeling that things that were once included with a ticket will no longer be free?

If they are going to start charging for nighttime shows, I could see a AP upgrade option coming. The sad thing is the vast majority will gladly pay it.

I don’t think they will charge for Fantasmic. That I think they bring a fastpass type thing. Epcot I think will be free and use future world for viewing areas but MK I could 100% see them charge for summer.

When Harmonious debuts Epcot might be a different story. But I believe that’s not until October.

For August start of Halloween, they start hiring around April/May and training late May/June. Christmas is about 1-1.5 months later in terms of timeline. I think its possible to have some Halloween nights in Sept-Oct with a break around the 1st.

You might not see alot of Halloween decorations this year since its the 50th, but they will have something.

Right?! That's the craziest part of all of this. I mean, they have experience doing it for parties at MK, but it seems like quite a tall order

I think one of the big challenges they face in the transition from day guests to party/event guests is they allow event guests in before day guests leave. That creates issues and day guests trying to “blend in” and stick around. If they did not allow event guests in until everyone else is cleared out, that would definitely help and make it much more challenging for day guests to try and stay.

If that were the case the “party” would last 20 minutes.

Be afraid of double selling a theme park. Lest it become the norm.

Are they really planning on a nighttime after hours event just for fireworks? Or likely to be a new party night? Maybe they could throw in Festival of Fantasy?
