I do recall the Green Army Men Parachute clone that was was slated for Maliboomer's spot from Blue Sky Cellar a few years back. I also do understand that concepts, ride systems, and lands often jump around parks. I would have loved a variation on Trolley Park in DCA, and I do see some elements of it even in the design for Toy Story Midway Mania, but I also know it draws a lot of inspiration from East Coast landmarks such as Luna Park in Coney Island.

A couple other things of note, with the cancellation of the Eastern Gateway Project plans for Marvel Land were shifted. I'm not sure if "a bug's land" was always on the chopping block for Marvel, but if it wasn't, that could explain a few Pixar Pier decisions. I took some pictures of the some of the earlier concepts of Pixar Pier from Blue Sky Cellar a while back:View attachment 304935View attachment 304936
If Flik's Flyers was going to stay, it makes sense that they would want a spinner in Pixar Pier, which we can see here themed around the omnidroid. We also can see a much more fleshed out Inside Out ride in the Maliboomer helix, which wouldn't house the Inside Out spinner. I'm kinda bummed we're getting Emotional Whirlwind, because this original concept looks a lot more interesting. Another thing of note that we did see in earlier concept art is another enclosed tube in the eastern helix. Makes me think that we were supposed to get a more proper finale for the Incredicoaster instead. A variation upon this can be seen in this concept art as well:

Someone had mentioned to me that the small ride in the western helix was actually going to be a relocated and enhanced ride using the heimlich ride system. So the removal of FFF was already on the table when the Pixar idea was being fleshed out

I want a combination of these ideas: a grand, TDA exec-attended reveal of a plain purple wall, on which is written “You killed Bing Bing with your unbelief”
Bing Bong is already dead. Disney is selling imaginary corpse tears. Because "Good Taste" and "Great Use of IP" are apparently not part of Pixar Pier's resort goals.

First line: "I'm at the most instagramable place on earth"

I hope Disney knows that Instagram probably won't be a thing in 10 years.[/QUOTE
That honestly is one of the saddest things I ever seen. Summed it up perfectly when she said "lets not worry about the food, its all about the picture" that's seems to have been the mentality to the whole project.
