News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

MB sticks out like a sore thumb from everywhere including the esplanade. TOT wasn’t beautiful but as you say it kind of blended in instead of saying “look at me!” The only redeeming quality I find with GOTG:MB is the randomized drops but even that is a mixed bag because I don’t find any of the profiles as thrilling as TOTs one ride profile. That’s without even getting into the everything lost.
Are you talking about losing the totality of the experience of TOT? Or was there something else that was lost that I'm not remembering?

I disagree that TOT was more thrilling; it might have been a more thought out sequence that was more satisfying as a result, but I would say MB clearly is the best Disney drop tower worldwide in terms of thrills. It DOES call more attention to itself though, much like the facade, in a way that is definitely more superficial than TOT.

My experience at Lamplight Lounge was tarnished by the $20, massively overhyped Lobster Nachos. I've never been so disappointed by a single food item in my life!

I happen to like Pixar Pier as a guilty pleasure; I know, it's bad (I mean... Poultry Palace exists 😣), but also the former personally wasn't something I found worth being sad over, and I love the Lamplight Lounge and pockets of PP.

I’ve always liked the Pier before and after its Pixarificarion. It has good energy, fun rides and is nice at night. I just don’t like the concept or execution of the land. Hate the red tunnels, Poultry palace and Jack Jack on sticks. Outside of those three, nothing is too offensive.

I swear it'll be 2050 and if I'm still alive Mickey Blue will still be complaining about Mission: Spaceout and Slashed Mountain, in addition to the eventual replacement of Frontierland with Princess Outpost.

Tiana aside, the princesses won't expand west until they have claimed all of Fantasyland! Can you imagine them wanting to get their skirts dirty in the wild west?

Yes the totality, the haunted hotel/ old Hollywood theme, Sterling, the music etc.

I disagree. MB is one really fun launch up and then a bunch of bouncing up and down on small drops. I don’t think one drop goes the full distance as the last drop on TOT did. And yes I think the suspense and build up also added to the overall satisfaction

The scary/ macabre got cut by 2/3 at DLR. No more Snow Whites Scary Adventures or TOT. All we have now is HM for 8 months a year.
At least scary Snow White lasted longer than at WDW. And an identical version of DL's (other than the addition of an ending scene) will live on in Paris.

I'm forever disapointed that I was too young to miss the original horrorshow WDW version!

I’m not sure why they are losing sight that kids LOVE that stuff. They are just like us. They are drawn to the mysterious, weird, scary etc...

A princess roughing it in the American frontier riding horses and fighting against the tribes? Never!
