LOL. Do you realize how insanely tiny the boundaries for these freebie tickets are? This is literally the adjacent neighborhood next to where all the construction is happening for the new parking garage and now the new hotel. I'd imagine it's going to be pretty disruptive there for the next year, so it sounds like Disney is just trying to get in their good graces in order to keep complaints to a minimum (and other city politics reasons that DarkBeer can probably explain better than I) while they start to get a lot more aggressive with construction. See below.... Hilarious you think this is about Pixar Fest.

While you're probably right, it's not a wild conclusion regarding Pixar Fest

Of course it won't stop them. But it strengthens my belief that these 1 IP lands that are set in an environment that puts the land in direct context of the films is an incredibly weak long term strategy.

working well enough at uni for many years -
what throws me is the pivot taken by the de-facto standard in themed entertainment towards the approach of those it leads

If Disney can base TSL on the first 3 Toy Story films, why couldn't they base Star Wars Land on the first 3? Yeesh.
Because the first 3 Toy Story films were made (at least in part) by Disney. Same reason why Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is set in the Disney-owned era.

I rode the incredicoaster twice yesterday. One time in the very back and the other in the very front. In the back I didn’t even notice the sticks. The jack jacks were almost level with the train (or whatever you call it idk). In the front, it felt like we were going so fast that I didn’t really look at the sticks that hold the Jack Jacks up. The only thing I’m mad at is that there is literally nothing behind the wall of the Pixar Promenade thing — such a waste of space. Oh, and the Jack Jack cookie.... the best thing ever, and it’s warm and fresh.

I'm not saying that, from what I've seen online, that Pixar Pier isn't a totally underwhelming overlay, but isn't the best judge of whether it's succeeding with the general public or not is to compare before and after wait times?
Only if you wait 15 years or so until Pixar Pier is as old as Paradise Pier was when you're comparing its wait times to a "brand new" experience. Thanks to APs, wait times for anything even remotely new will be through the roof for a good while.

I guess you aren't familiar with the "Kawaii Culture" in Japan that's been a thing since the 70's.

The kawaii versions of Japanese anime characters are hilarious and adorable. Often more appealing than the original character designs. And isn't there a whole kawaii shopping district in Japan somewhere..?

Are you trying to ruin any credibility you had?

As for your second question, technically yes. They're reskinned Flik's Flyers to be an Inside Out ride. Other than that, no.
