I say go to Lamplight Lounge anyway and check it out. No one on this forum has been there, experienced the atmosphere, tasted the new food. Form your own opinion about it in real life and don’t listen to people who haven’t even been there.

Ok I will keep my reservation. It’s only for lunch, so I don’t expect it to be too bad.

I already have a reservation for that. We are staying there for a little longer than a week. Any other recommendations?

Oh ok cool. Well if you re staying for a week I guess you may as well try it. I would do one dinner at Carthay circle and another dinner at Steakhouse 55 @ the DL Hotel. People rave about Napa Rose but I’ve never been. I’d also at least do some appetizers and drinks at Trader Sams (definitely sit inside though). Cafe Orleans is good but I’m not crazy about the montecristo. They have good pomme frites and salad. Short rib was good too but it was from the specials menu. Of all the above, when it comes to atmosphere you can’t beat Blue Bayou. It just had that old school Disneyland charm. Ask the hostess for a table on the water in the morning/ early afternoon on the day of your reservation.

For counter service the I recommend the Fried chicken at the Plaza Inn. Definitely try a couple skewers at Bengal BBQ and a corn dog from the little Red Wagon. I haven’t eaten at Hungry Bear in a few years so I don’t want to vouch for their food but it’s always been a decent option and the atmosphere in the upper level facing the ROA at night is top notch.

I didn’t know he/she had 9 days in the parks. If he/she had only 2-3 days at the parks (the average length of stay for a tourist) your recommendation would be risky.

Well, it’s more like seven days really if you include a morning flight and a afternoon flight taking up days.

Still more than enough time to try out all the different restaurants that interest you. I forgot to include UVA bar at Catal at DTD an an option. They have some good appetizers like the carnitas arepas. With so much time though, I would get off the property and try some of the great restaurants in OC/ LA. Like for amazing real deal Napoletan pizza, I’d recommend my friend Tullios restaurant - Fuoco Pizzeria in downtown Fullerton- about 10 minutes away from the park. I’m not biased either - he’s won best Pizza in the OC a couple times now.

Lucky for you, I ate like 4 meals a day at Disneyland because I wanted to try so many restaurants.

Steakhouse 55 was really good, if in your budget (it's also really expensive).

One of the things I did that I really enjoyed was going to Tangora Terrace for some light snacks in the afternoon on one of my park days.

Eat breakfast at Carnation Cafe (ask for patio).

I actually really enjoyed the Fantasmic Dining Package at Blue Bayou. The price for just the meal alone I felt was worth it and in addition I got the amazing atmosphere AND I got a front row view Fantasmic sitting on the ground with a exclusive seat cushion you can't get anywhere else. Plus the amount of space I had was more than any fastpass guest got. It was 100% defiantly worth it. But note, if you want water view get there right when they open because I went an hour after they opened to request it and they told me all the waterside tables are full. If in your budget, I would defiantly do it over the other packages! It was amazing. Try to see if you can cancel your regular Blue Bayou meal and replace it with this one, if Fantasmic is a must for you.

Eat on the patio of Flos V8 Cafe with a view of Radiator Springs Racers. Trust me, it's amazing.

Bengal BBQ was good, as was Cafe Orleans. And Plaza Inn is a must (but beware breakfast isn't good).

Didn't eat at Carthay Circle, but did the Paint the Night lunch package at Wine Country Trattoria, and really enjoyed it. Probably won't do it again, but I had a great time.. The view was really good and the amount of room I had was amazing, and the entire package was cheaper than if I did separately an appetizer and meal without dessert there. Again, if in your budget, I would do it!

Pretty much anything at Disneyland was great!

I am doing a dining package for Carthay Circle. I’ve planned going to Napa Rose one night. I’ll give Steakhouse 55 a try, but is it similar to Le Cellier in Epcot?

Media event is tomorrow, meaning the construction needs to be completed by then. Heard some talk about Poultry Palace and Jack Jack’s cookies not being ready on time. I guess we’ll see tomorrow

Dang, I thought both places would be cute. I find this disappointing, especially if it is for Disneyland.

I've never been to Le Cellier in Epcot, but I think Steakhouse 55 is my third favorite Disney restaurant I've been too (Blue Bayou and Cinderella's Royal Table come prior), but Steakhouse 55 has better food then all of them.
