I honestly thought I clicked on the wrong page lol. I had no idea what was happening. But yeah its not the end of the world, it will be cleaned up soon. I don't get why this site was targeted though since its clearly for a non-English base but no one ever accused spam botting as being accurate.

It's likely speaking to an extraterrestrial. Why did you come here? Are you trying to warn us of our impending doom? Do you have the script for Star Wars Episode IX?
IT SPEAKS!!

Hmm. I could buy into that if Incredibles 2 was only available in theaters that were located between Ventura and San Diego. But Incredibles 2 opened in theaters last Friday in all 50 states, plus Canada. DCA pulls in on the busiest of days 40,000 people per day. Even if every single person that went to DCA this past weekend then refused to go to the movies, that's a drop in the bucket compared to the more than 1 Million people who just paid for a ticket for Incredibles 2 this weekend from Maine to Oregon and from Idaho to Florida.

Again, even if you had a rule that said that anyone who went to Disneyland Resort that weekend was then forbidden from visiting any movie theater showing Incredibles 2 from Ventura to San Diego the same weekend, I can't imagine you'd even make a noticeable dent on DCA attendance for the weekend.

The late opening date aside, there seems to be a missed opportunity to tout the new Incredibles E Ticket with a featurette during the showing of the Incredibles movie. I don't think playing the lazy Pixar Pier commercial they slapped together with three year old B Roll footage that shows nothing and some Intern-created CGI art shouldn't count as "Synergy".

You don’t take a chance when you’re opening up a big movie though. Within that same theory though opening them at the same time probably wouldn’t have caused any difference in people’s interet in going or crowd levels.

Making of the Incredicoaster would have been a cool little featurette. Unfortunately your average tourist wouldn’t care about it and they can get the same bang for their buck wit a Pixar Pier recycled commercial.

Every forum type site goes through this every couple of years because the bot makers know they aren't monitored as closely as other sites. I remember when MC was hit like every weekend for like a month.

This use to happen on IMDB a lot too. There is a reason they shut those boards down lol.

But I don't even get the point of this one since its not even in English. I'm going to guess over 90% of us here doesn't speak or read Chinese.

What's weird is that the user switches English to Chinese text. Since he finally starting posting

Typically they try lower hanging fruit, less monitored sites, to hone their skills. I wouldn't be surprised if its a new spambot creator testing it out before unleashing on a bigger more monitored site. It could also be to test to see how long before the Admin and Mod respond to their attack before unleashing the bigger attack.

Oh and the Chinese is about getting a college diploma. Google Translate is a wonderful thing....

You guys need to stop feeding into it. Just report the threads, ignore the user, and then let it go. :p

Yeah I know I can translate it but since its spam most people aren't going to waste their time. But I hear you on everything else.

LOL thats funny. I just put the idiot on ignore a moment ago. It blocked all his threads but oddly the pages are now shorter since it doesn't just bring up the other threads automatically. But a decent option until he's wiped.

You're trying to rationalize spambot creators, the fact its in Chinese is already an indication this is a new spambot.

No need to try and figure it out.... Its spam its not rational.... :p

Ha, it’s not that simple. Firstly any tickets you take out of opening weekend box office #s is no bueno. There’s just no good reason to draw rabid fans away from theaters on opening weekend.

On top of that, there’s also advertising/marketing/PR budgets, messaging, and flighting to consider and you wouldn’t want too much of that to overlap.

As for the featurette, I don’t totally disagree but I think it’s a bit unnecessary and not the type of things the real creatives at Pixar Studios would be overly excited to be involved with plus it’d also have to compete for screen time with the new original short — and we know how Disney audiences get when they have to sit too long ahead of the main feature!!!

They could have been removed from the menu, which was a very real possibility with a complete restaraunt overhaul like that!

And gurl, dis fish here ain’t cheap if you catch my drift :hungry: I mean, you could say it’s a bit shellfish of them... but girls gotta pay dem bills.

Okay I should sleep.. what just happened?
