Incredibles 1 was a good film, but I don't like these characters or that world enough to pay to see more. I'll catch it on my phone when it streams. I really am getting to be an old crank: I'm at the point where, if I'm trying to watch an afternoon of baseball on TV and I get bombarded with endless obnoxious promos for Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World 2 (including CAR COMMERCIALS for BOTH)... I lose any interest at all in seeing them in theaters. Both films have crossed the line with over-hype. No thank you, Disney and Universal. Now, please excuse me while I unplug everything, go off the grid and move into a Yurt.

Well my 14 year old daughter sees right through all this political, female agenda nonsense nowadays, so I did something right.

Wow, thanks for putting down my niece for not seeing the same as your daughter. There was an insinuation there that my family didn't raise my niece right because she doesn't see some political agenda.

Still a bit uneven in some areas but they finally fixed the spacing of the tunnel lights.

I'm not up to date to some of this stuff like so many of you are but can someone explain why would they remake and brand the entire area to Pixar and yet oddly keep the Mickey face on the Fun Wheel? What's the rationale?

Its so bizarre they went out of their way for this to feel very Pixar and yet literally the face of the area is of Mickey Mouse. Why not put Woody or Wall E on the wheel?

This will likely irritate a lot of folks here, but most of this stuff is aimed at young kids and parents. Yeah, as fans we generally take it all very seriously, but try to have some perspective. Even the most passionate Disneyland fan has their limit for how much "Disney magic" they can tolerate, and if you're an adult living in a household without grade school aged kids a large portion of what Disneyland Resort is peddling isn't going to appeal to you.

Dude, no. I'm not insinuating that your family didn't raise your niece right. Let's just stop here. We always seem to end up at this place.

I will accept that you may not have intentionally meant anything by your post against my family. However that is not the way it read. I don't know how you can say we always end up here when this is the first time I've ever felt insulted by one of your posts.

I was going to bring out my soap box but decided not to, and I'll just leave it at that.

It's a marketing decision - Mickey is easier to market and is a prominent feature of DCA's branding.

OK, thanks, but wasn't the entire point of remaking the pier into Pixar Pier was for marketing/branding purposes? I guess I'm little confused on that but I know you're not the one who came up with it. They build an entire pier around these characters but they are worried having a face from that brand on the wheel isn't strong enough. Yeah its weird lol.

No use trying to figure it out because like most of Pixar Pier it makes zero sense. For the time being Mickey mostly functions as a corporate symbol in Anaheim anyway, so just think of his face up there glaring out at the masses as gigantic emblem for all things Disney.
