News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

Same reason you can get such a cheap breakfast or lunch at Ikea. It's a loss leader. Gets people into the stores to spend money on everything else. Plus at that point, you're already a member (or tagging along with one) so you've already plunked down $60 just for the ability to buy that food (and everything else in the store).
I don't have a membership, but my local Costco always lets me through the exit into the food court if I say I'm just getting a dog.

The wait area is well themed with surf boards, boats, lobster traps and nets.
Disney had over 15 years to improve Screamin's station and brake run with that kind of theming and did zero (any high school theater arts class could have improved Screamin's brake run in one weekend as an extra credit project).

Looks like my DCA boycott is going to be put on hold, lads. Just got two free park hoppers (they're good for anywhere but no one will go to Paris with me) so it looks like I'll be able to experience the all new Pixar Pier and Mission Breakout this summer. Then I can criticize it and no one can argue with me because I'll have real first hand experience.
So basically you would throw your integrity out the window for free tickets. Typical millennial.

It's sad that the sandy areas around the bay look more like the east coast than California. (See Jaws) We don't really have tall grasses, wooden picket fences and rocks on our beach line.

Seriously, the dogs are top notch. A million times better than the nasty things they sell at Dodger Stadium.
Dodger Dogs...blasphemy. When I was younger, much younger and thinner, I'd polish off two of those no problem. Loved me some Dodger Dogs...but not so much the Doyers.

Wow. I take back everything I said about men-children. I literally got angry watching the first 20 seconds of that video. Those are the obnoxious two that did that vlog on TSI when it first reopened. Their side commentary is so cringey. F Me.
As soon as she started woo-ing, I was out.

Pink’s and Original Tommy’s have the best hot dogs in L.A. Carney’s has delicious hot dogs, too.

Dodger Dogs aren’t my favorite, but a game feels nearly incomplete without one.

Never have really liked Costco hot dogs. Give me a good Nathans with that "snap" or Pinks...I'm all good.

I finally made it to Pink's for the first time a few years ago. Met up with a friend from NY for a night out in West Hollywood, and like good tourists we went to Pink's for a late snack after last call. It was such a scene at 2am on a Sunday morning! Very fun and their hot dogs are delicious.

I miss the one at Knott's. Didn't eat there often but was a tasty indulgence once in awhile. Portillos is close to Knott's and their dogs are pretty good too.
