They are testing because they replaced the whole launch section and added new water effects. they also removed and replaced the loop on the coaster.
That's the second loop replacement on that coaster. Hmmmmmm... Then again, Screamin'/Incrudicoaster runs over twice as many trains as the average steel looper. More wear.

I serious doubt that is new steel loop. The loop is designed to be taken apart for maintenance and to get at signage behind it.

it probably is the same loop and just repainted. they still need to go through all the testing anytime something is dismantled or changed that affects operation of the coaster. i was answering a question Mcqueen had as to why they would be re-testing an original ride vehicle.

I do remember it being replaced before. They have also removed it more than once to be able to work around it. was just pointing out that they still need to test the coaster even if they are the same cars because they removed tracks from the coaster. protocal calls for the coaster to be tested when modifications are done as well as daily checks.

Incredibles soundtrack is by Michael Giacchino and has a vibe very similar to his track in Space Mountain '05 (which opened just over 6 months after the movie came out) but with more of a jazzy 60's Bond feel to it.

Not gonna lie.. that sounds amazing. If they get Michael to do a custom track for Incredicoaster, and it's like his work on Space Mountain / SM Mission 2, i'm pumped for it.

Though he has some competition with the track that was California Screamin'.

There are waaaay more than two different types of roller coasters. Sorry to nit-pick, but this is a forum full of coaster geeks who've played way too much RC Tycoon (1,2,3 and all expansions).

I was referring to just the two examples in the post I was replying to. I know there are way more than two different types of coasters. But there is a reason why you see similar trains with similar looks used on coasters around the world. Yes you will have different variations of ornamental changes based on theme. But overall the trains all look pretty similar for the type of coaster they are on.

Once again, I have to wonder, what DO you actually love about Disneyland Resort, because Lord have mercy, your online persona hates literally everything. Even inconsequential coaster trains that nobody ever thought or cared about before they were recently repainted.

I have high standards for the theme park company that boasts themselves as the best.

Wanting train cars on a roller coaster set in the early 20th century that don't look like something from 1998 isn't unrealistic.

But half the stuff at DLR doesn't look realistic, so it almost feels to me like you're unconsciously picking and choosing which new incongruous detail you want to obsess over each day because you've got some personal ax to grind. Since you seldom have anything positive to say about the place I am curious what aspects of Disneyland today interest you and you find enjoyable. I'm sincerely curious about your personal interests in the parks, one Disneyland Resort fan to another, as I do often find your contributions to the conversations interesting.
