I guess "confectionery" is too advanced a word for their target audience.

Also notice that the guy scratching his head on the left changed his skin color from white to black. And the people in the other concept art used force projection. Both Michael Jackson and Mark Hamill live(d) in CA, so there you go, these guests are living their California Adventure!

Looking at the concept art on the construction walls looks like the theatre is not happening. It says “Pixar Promenade” and the arch leads to a wall...

Two Things:

One- I didn't think it was possible for them to budget cut this already cheap, budget project...

Two- This Pixar Promenade really gives me the feels of one of my local victorian-era seaside amusement park (that's still operating today!).

It's such a shame that the whole land couldn't look like this...

Again I gotta point out that some bonehead thought it'd be swell to theme a candy store around one of the saddest, most gut-wrenching scenes in any Disney or Pixar movie. Apparently because he cried candy tears before he died tragically and heroically. Did these people even watch "Inside Out" at all???

Also: "Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff?" EEEEWWWW!!!

I agree.

The only crappy story that makes sense to me is this: The fictional company running the pier thinks they can be more successful, so they slap on characters and branding in places they make no sense, with the hope of increasing profits. Well isn't that ironic? This fictional company is behaving more like a local amusement park than the world leader in theme parks!

It's on the new "man presenting his ****" wall, so they seem to be sticking with it, no? Without the ball below the PP it looks fine.

Exactly. Why not replace the Paradise Pier sign with a Pixar Pier sign, and that circle sun with the Pixar ball? It seems so obvious.

I'd be fine with another if it's to fix this mess.
It’s like we’ve come full circle on wacky meta irreverent DCA.

Not a wall. Looks like 2 doors. It is rumored Turtle Talk will relocate there.

Can they hurry up and share some details about marvel land? All this mediocrity needs to be explained away with quality.

The current rumor is that Marvel Land will be announced at San Diego Comic Con to replace "Bugs Land". Then Bugs Land will close at the end of the summer season and they will reskin Flik's Flyers to be Inside Out (which is rumored to open for the Holiday Season)

I think it will too. It would be odd if it didn’t considering how easy it is to relocate and the fact that they have a whole land dedicated to Pixar. Monsters Inc. is another story but I’m not entirely sure that it doesn’t get axed for Marvel land or any other new project that comes around. Which of course, makes me wonder how long the animation building has left. It didn’t survive at park called Disney Hollywood Studios. So I doubt it’s in the long term plans for DCA.

It would be a shame to lose it. I'd really hate to lose the Animation Academy. But I can easily see them removing it all.

Me too... I'm so sad its gone at DHS, but luckily there is something very similar in Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

I hope that if Disney closed the Animation Academy, they could bring it to Downtown Disney (even if its for an additional cost).
