Perhaps. I'm struggling to understand how that's possible though with Pixar characters existing in "neighborhoods". Maybe I'm over-thinking it, but from what I've seen in the concept art the Pixar + pier and supporting storytelling (theming) is confusing me.
I agree.
The only crappy story that makes sense to me is this: The fictional company running the pier thinks they can be more successful, so they slap on characters and branding in places they make no sense, with the hope of increasing profits. Well isn't that ironic? This fictional company is behaving more like a local amusement park than the world leader in theme parks!
I doubt that's official now. It still has the you-know-what image on the top, the thing that Hans claims he can't see. I doubt we'll ever see that again in any official capacity.
It's on the new "man presenting his " wall, so they seem to be sticking with it, no? Without the ball below the PP it looks fine.
I haven't seen this talked about, but not having anything above the loop makes it look really boring. The original California Screamin' had the Mickey ears, 2010 had "PARADISE PIER" written across it, but the Incredicoaster has just empty space.
Exactly. Why not replace the Paradise Pier sign with a Pixar Pier sign, and that circle sun with the Pixar ball? It seems so obvious.
I just hope this is the last major redesign of the area for at least 10-15 years.
I'd be fine with another if it's to fix this mess.
