It felt like a Christmas short didn't fit the Dia de los Muertos film it ran before. Didn't fit would be the key phrase.

They're both Disney works of animation aimed at families in December, one specifically placed there due to seasonality. What more do you need?

Did Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too (@25 min long) fit Island at the Top of the World?
Did Mickey's Christmas Carol (@26 min long) fit The Rescuers?
Did any of the Roger Rabbit shorts directly fit the features that followed? (Honey I Shrunk the Kids, D|ck Tracy, and the totally unfitting A Far Off Place)

It's kind of amazing how some of you blow these non-issues up into some seemingly big deal.

Tony Baxter tried!

And did kind of succeed...20 years later:

Is that when construction begins?
As far as I know it's either the last day it's open, or the first day of shut down and construction. I can't tell since I heard the date on dysn newscast and he didn't really elaborate that well which one it is. either way, people who are big fans of paradise pier or haven't been to disney in a while should visit before it's gone.

Is TSMM down the entire time too? That’s a whole lot of capacity lost.

not sure, I assume not until later phases, but I don't know. My guess is that since it's so near screamin' that it will probably be closed until screamin' is done, but once again I don't know, so that's just my best guess on how disney will do things.

So details are vague but any insight on the waterfall near the carousel ( and the carousel itself ) Will work with the Incredi-coaster? What movie does the carousel tie to? That close up pic from the d23 magazine of the plaza around the coaster entry / exit plaza got me to thinking

The concept art appeared to tie the carousel into Toy Story. The waterfall covers it from the Incredicoaster area to create some semblance of theming.

Seems like he Carousel is supposed to be themed to toy story. The art shows a large statue of Jessie at entrance of carousel. The waterfall must be a themed wall to help split the themed look of Incredibles area to the toy story area.
