It's taken very seriously for Disneyland fans though. Which explains the hype about the parades return.

Going from PTN to the 45 year old MSEP though... yikes! I'm sure there are very mixed feelings about this.

Most of the reaction from Disneyland locals were positive. I remember alot of DL fans were begging for MSEP to return to Disneyland Resort years before PTN was even thought of. It's a difference point of view from WDW and especially DL locals.

Also it is temporary with an end date. They are not replacing PTN forever. DL also has spent a bit of money repairing MSEP for it's short run at DL and even returned the Drum Float to the start of the parade.

The preview event is tomorrow and Disney is blasting social media with "tickets still available."

Well I don't think up charge events work well in Anaheim because of the locals aspect. I am sure many will go and see the parade though.

But did they actually confirm PTNs return date following MSEP? Or are they leaving that open in case the refurb takes longer than expected? Also F! will be reopening around the time MSEP ends.

The Main Street Electrical Parade made its third formal debut in Anaheim tonight (1972, 2001, 2017). It's looking reasonably refurbished, but just as hokey and 1970's as always.
Now all this thread needs is the formal announcement that the MSEP will stay at Disneyland past its announced closing date of June 18th and that Paint The Night will be moving to WDW this summer.

That's exactly what I thought. Paint The Night is like a snazzy 2016 Lexus, and the Electrical Parade is like a wheezy 1972 Buick.
