Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

IMO seeing a daytime parade at night gives a totally different feel to the parade. Especially with additional lighting. Honestly seeing the Maleficent dragon with fire at night would be pretty dope lol.

Good point about the dragon. It would be worth a look if I was there. But I wouldn't be excited enough about it to schedule a whole trip like I would for a new night parade.

FWIW, if the MK doesn't run a nighttime parade for a while, do you think it's Disney telling people (indirectly) to go visit AK at night? Later this year, I mean.
It was assumed that along with a cost cutting measure that it could have been an internal sign to drive more guests to AK, however that was assumed when we thought ROL was opening near the end date of MSEP. In all honesty, TDA definietly wanted MSEP back, I truly believe that it will not return to the hands of TDO and will wind up in the parade graveyard/commemorative pins. Also, TDO needs to loosen their wallets and pull the plans off the shelf and sign off on it. There is a fully developed parade waiting to be written a check and built. I doubt (as of now) that TDO would approve a FoF nighttime run due to the aforementioned scheduling issues of cast who have other roles in the MK throughout the day. Just going off my intuition, but I do have a feeling a new firework show may be in our midst before the 50th.

Probably. But won't it be interesting to see if all those people they are chasing away from the MK can even be accommodated at RoL?
Not necessarily, if I remember right from the original math, in order to fit roughly (as an example) as many people as one Fantasmic show does in one night they'd have to have three ROL shows. From what I understand the ROL theatre fits about 5,000 and Fantasmic fits about 15,000. But that doesn't make a difference because they'll sell more ROL/light merch with people wandering around, and with Tiffins kinda opening quietly it would drive more people to eat there. $$$ talks to TDO, not the actual guest experience.

You're about 5000 too high for fantasmic.

If Disney wants to avoid a night parade at MK in order to encourage guests to go to other parks, I'm all for them putting a light parade in DHS instead. It has the infrastructure for a parade and could use the extra draw at this point in time.

Sure, they'd need to work around Fantasmic! and the Star Wars show, but DL somehow manages to have F!, a light parade and fireworks on the same nights.

I've never understood why FoF at night was even an attractive option for some. I mean, if you see it during the day, would you really stick around to see it again at night? Probably not.
unless they change a lot of the floats to light up epically and maybe make variation of the songs.

Assuming the MSEP preview isn't a wash out.. any live streams planned?

Forecast now is for rain and snow to move into SoCal tonight through mid-day Thursday, then have widely scattered showers through Thursday evening, before the next and bigger rain storm arrives on Friday morning. If that timeframe sticks like that, the MSEP's premiere party for ticket holders and media on Thursday evening should make it. Friday night's public debut looks less likely. Thursday night is the best bet for live streams or Periscope, but with major media also attending that night there will be plenty of professional footage available soon after.

Saturday is clear and sunny, but colder than normal (as this winter has been all up and down the West Coast). The real San Bernardino mountains behind Disneyland's fake mountains have been covered in snow like this for weeks now, with more arriving tonight. Brrr!
