Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

I still remember when all 4 parks used to have it's own parades. The last park that used to have a daily parade was Jammin Jungle at AK and when that ended it results in MK being the only park that runs a parade.

I've said before, but I don't understand why they don't bring back a daytime parade for DHS. In its current state, it could use the additional attraction and the parade path is open and could be used (no construction that would limit it). IIRC, they have the last Pixar parade still there just sitting in storage.

Or a Star Wars parade? Even a Star Wars cavalcade or something.

When did the Pixar parade end it's first run or so at HS?

Yes
With the announcement that Rivers of Light is dead in the water (no pun intended) until the vague timeframe given on "2017", I imagine they've got to have something like this. I hope it starts in January. Have you heard any dates?
Honestly, I wouldn't expect a new nightime parade before ROL opens. Magic Kingdom already bears the brunt of night time guests and people leaving Animal Kingdom to see the fireworks. Until one of the other parks gets a new nightitme show, don't expect magic kingdom to get anything new at night.

Personally, I expect them to wait for the 50th anniversary.

That's a bit of a mixed up name.

Block Party Bash (March 2008 to Jan 2011) was followed by Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun. The latter used the same song structure as the DCA Pixar Play Parade. But unlike the DCA version, this was just Block Party Bash with new paint and a lot less fun. CtF ran Jan 2011 to April 2013.

Quick question to those experts out there. My child's high school marching band is going WDW in the middle of this coming March, and has been assigned a "night time" parade slot to march through the MK. If there is no night time parade scheduled, do they just have marching bands make the trek on the parade route instead?? Is it possible that they'll do this in lieu of a parade for the foreseeable future?

I don't have an answer for you but this is interesting nonetheless.

The evening slots were typically 30 and 15 minutes before that night's run of MSEP. Once MSEP packed up and headed west, the bands had kept the same schedule AFAIK. I know Disney's Magic Music Days doesn't appear to have stopped offering the evening performance opportunities at the MK.

Yeah, they've definitely been given an evening performance marching slot on a weeknight in mid-March.

So are there bands running now at MK on non party nights?
