Get ready to celebrate the return of a Disney Parks icon! As we told you earlier this year, the Main Street Electrical Parade is coming back to the place it began – Disneyland park – for a limited time, beginning January 20. Whether you’re making new memories or reliving favorite moments, this is a homecoming celebration you’ll want to share with family and friends.

This encore performance at Disneyland park will run nightly until June 18 – that’s 45 years after it first lit up Main Street, U.S.A., in 1972! During this limited-time celebration, guests will also enjoy special merchandise and food offerings inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade – we’ll have more to share on those very soon.

Want to celebrate the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade in style? Join us on January 19 for a special, after-hours premiere event and be among the first to experience the return of this beloved parade. After the park closes, premiere event ticket holders will enjoy a night of exclusive access to most Disneyland park attractions and select restaurants, featuring a special performance of the Main Street Electrical Parade ahead of its official debut to the public. Tickets go on sale for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders tomorrow, Dec. 6, and to the general public on December 13. Information will be available on Disneyland.com beginning tomorrow.

Join us in January as we welcome the Main Street Electrical Parade home to Disneyland park for a limited time!

Apparently MSEP will run at DL until June... maybe then it will come back to WDW until the new parade gets built?Would hate to see it come back but Disney did say it was going to DL for a "limited time".
I thought the third run (2010-2016) was going to be it's last performance. Can we let the parade finally rest in peace when it's done at Disneyland FOR REAL this time?

Don't they mean "Disneyland Icon"?

Isn't it simply amazing how these pretty straightforward press releases always lead to the same people reading way too far between the lines?

WDW fans are understandably desperate for the smallest crumb, since they have four theme parks and one parade. There's really no excuse for the state of WDW's entertainment, but as long as people keep paying!

At this point WDW fans would take a 45 year old parade back. To quote our new President, "Sad!"

I still can't believe it's been 6 years since Spectromagic ended. It was such a beautiful parade.

Maybe they should destroy the floats in a big junk pile like they did for Spectromagic, so every time the speculation of its return comes back up, we can all post photographic proof that it isn't.

I still remember when all 4 parks used to have it's own parades. The last park that used to have a daily parade was Jammin Jungle at AK and when that ended it results in MK being the only park that runs a parade.
