Packing "strange" things.

When you are packing for your trips, do you pack anything you would consider strange to bring to a major resort?
Personally, my "strange" item is toilet paper.
I just can't stand staying someplace for a week that has cheap toilet paper. You know the kind, that you can almost see through if you look through it. I've gotten in the habit of sticking a roll of my own in my suitcase before I travel.

This may be a bit bizarre but for years I've been bringing air freshener spray. I can't stand being in a hotel room when someone does their "business" and it smells the room. I bring a lot of what everyone else said, too. Zip locks are a must, my own ponchos (or old Disney ones), clorox wipes to wipe the place down, etc.,

Try bringing Poo-Pourri spray...their motto is, "spritz the bowl before you go and no one will ever know!" It really works!

I pack a ziplock with antibacterial wipes for wiping down the TV remote/ interior bathroom door handles, telephone, etc. No sense in getting a nasty cold (or worse) with your vacation.
I also pack a binder clip (office clip) for clamping the drapes shut in case I wish to sleep in (Sis with 2 small kids does this so she can wake up after 5am:).
I am also a fan of packing my Kashi cereal & buying milk in the small packages to stash in the room's fridge. Why not save a few bucks & eat a nicer TS lunch & dinner (plus I can get my hair less Bride of Frankenstein-esque while I eat).
DH always likes for me to pack a small container of Altoids- the peppermint oil helps to settle an upset stomach & they freshen the breath after lunch.
we have peppermint altitude & the sugar free ones in both vehicles for travel.

White handkerchiefs. I don't carry them normally but they're great for getting rubbing sunblock off of sunglasses, chlorine out of eyes, a clean place to set my camera down etc.

Not old, just vintage.
I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who brings their Keurig on vacation with them. I don't drive to WDW but if I did you better believe my Keurig would be riding shotgun the whole way. My machine has been to Wildwood, Vermont, Williamsburg VA, and Canada.

I bought one for her as an X-mas gift last year. Flash forward, and the only time that thing didn't get used on a daily basis was when we were out of town.

Also, depending on where in POR we get placed, I may not want to make that hike to the main building in the early morning. This way, it's conveniently ready right in the room; add a handful of pills and a smizz, and it's off to rope drop.

Y'know, I think I just convinced myself to bring it. Uh...good job?

Not that they're strange things to bring, but my parents thought it was strange that I brought 5 pairs of shoes (sneakers, slippers, slides, rubber flip flops, and memory foam flip flops), 3 pairs of sunglasses, and a bag of all my Disney themed jewelry( I have certain bracelets and stuff that I got in Disney and wouldn't really wear at home so I bring them to Disney to wear since it doesn't really matter what you look like at Disney)

I thought I was being crazy obsessive when I wanted to bring my Keurig. Glad I'm not alone with that idea. I'm flying though, and I just can't figure out how to make that work. It would take up too much space in the luggage, and seems silly to spend the postage to ship it both ways. I'm not sure how I'm going to live for a week and a half without my Keurig.

How about shower shoes? I am a germaphobe who always has cheap flip flops for the shower and then as soon as I've dried off, I put on some room socks and (get this) change them for another pair to wear with my shoes. I also take Lysol cleaning wipes to wipe down light switches, remotes and the bathroom.

I like to use one of those scrubbie bath things made of net instead of a washcloth, so I bring one of those and a suction cup hook to hang it up to dry in the shower, and also a Ziploc bag to bring it home in case it's still damp.

Me, too! I buy a Dollar Store mesh loofah and bring it (they're smaller than the ones I use at home, and in case I forget it, I won't feel bad). Using a washcloth just isn't the same!

This probably isn't that weird, but I bring a box of individually packaged wet wipes. I use some to wipe down surfaces in the room on arrival (e.g., door and cabinet hardware), and then throw a few in my park bag every day, so we can wipe down our hands before and after meals if there isn't a bathroom close by. I discovered last time that they also work as a "first aid wipe" if I have to field-dress a child's skinned knee.

Seriously considering bringing the Keurig to POR in February, though. My last AM coffee experience at CS didn't exactly fill me with hope.

I'd bring my Keurig with me if I wasn't flying.

I just got the single Keurig and I'm packing it in the suitcase and checking it in at the airport. We are also staying POR and that walk for AM coffee can be a killer and finding a good cup of coffee is really hard at the world. LOL

We also bring disposable travel cups so they can have a coffee on the way to the parks in the morning, and not have to carry a mug all day!

They usually have them in the rooms with the coffee pot and you can get the covers at the food court.

Last year they gave me a bag so I could stock up on creamers sugars spoons to bring back to our room. We stayed CB Pirates rooms and it wasn’t that easy getting to the food court.

This may be a bit bizarre but for years I've been bringing air freshener spray. I can't stand being in a hotel room when someone does their "business" and it smells the room.

I do the same thing. The air fresher has to come with us.

We do a lot of the same as everyone, the wipes, variety sizes of zip-locks, shampoo, bar soap, hand soap, but the unusual things that we bring are……

We bring a high pressure shower head and pliers to change it out. There is absolutely NO water pressure in the shower and I just can’t stand it. Fruitloops for the ducks and Birds they LOVE them. A power strip not enough outlets to charge cell phones, cameras, and plug in a laptop. 5-in-1 Laundry sheets. I could just keep on going and going.
