Packing "strange" things.

When you are packing for your trips, do you pack anything you would consider strange to bring to a major resort?
Personally, my "strange" item is toilet paper.
I just can't stand staying someplace for a week that has cheap toilet paper. You know the kind, that you can almost see through if you look through it. I've gotten in the habit of sticking a roll of my own in my suitcase before I travel.

I still take my first stuffed Dumbo with me when I travel. Got him when I was 5 months old on my first trip to Disney, and he goes with me on every vacation. But on my person; I'm too afraid he'd get lost with a suitcase.

I always bring my own hairdryer. I don't trust the ones they give you in the room. Also, I have a shoe fetish, so I end up bringing about 8 pairs of shoes and wearing maybe 2 or 3 pairs. I always overpack.

It used to be a bottle of Smirnoff and an empty 20oz Aquafina, but I'm a lot more "refined" now.

Seriously considering bringing the Keurig to POR in February, though. My last AM coffee experience at CS didn't exactly fill me with hope.

I'd bring my Keurig with me if I wasn't flying.

^ The thing is damn near indispensable in the household. Plus, I've seen people do some awful, awful things with in-room coffee makers. And tv remotes, and Gideon's bibles...

They had one of those when I went to Williamsburg. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my father was happy.

Will definitely bring TP this trip. Bringing over the door plastic shoe organizer for toiletries in the bathroom since there isn't a ton of counter space in the CR bathrooms. Will also bring one the hang in one of the closets for snacks and such. Will probably stash a bottle of Jack for the trip. Our last trip we bought one at the gift store and my husband had a jack and coke every evening. To tell you how very little we drink, 1/3 of the bottle is left in our fridge and it has been nearly 2 years. :) Always bring my own hairdryer. My hair takes forever to dry and those poor little hotel dryers can't hold out. Will definitely be thinking about some of these to add!

A long, bin-style hanging shoe rack to hang on the clothes bar. The pastic ones are light and can slip right into a side pocket on the luggage and take up only a few inches of room on the clothes bar. Having 10 or 12 "bins" for everyone to store their personal toiletries in makes it alot easier for everyone and leaves the counter area relatively clear! And if something tips/spills, plastic just wipes clean. :) It actually stays packed in the carryon so whether it's a 3 day or 13 day trip, we always have it.

We always bring the Keurig. My parents don't function without good coffee in the morning. We have 2 though, and bring the "mini" one to Disney because it's easier to pack (but we drive, so it's not that big of a deal anyways).

This may be a bit bizarre but for years I've been bringing air freshener spray. I can't stand being in a hotel room when someone does their "business" and it smells the room. I bring a lot of what everyone else said, too. Zip locks are a must, my own ponchos (or old Disney ones), clorox wipes to wipe the place down, etc.,

If we drove to Disney, we'd definitely bring our Keurig. My hubby drinks about 4-5 cups a day!!
