The footings of the real Golden Gate Bridge are bare concrete, so at least the look is correct.....

Ah, so those research trips to the Golden Gate Bridge was worth it! /s :D

Joking aside, I guessss it makes sense. I just don't like the glossy shiny look of the plastic-overlay, it contrasts with the bare concrete so much. Compared with the actual Golden Gate, the red is more monotone and doesn't stick out, idk lol

I'm sure it'll tone down to a more orangish color and be less shiny over the next year as the sun beats down on it, as the GGB is actually a shade of orange anyways.

I am here now.

I can reliably confirm that San Fransokyo is the same as it was on Tuesday.

An overpriced, overcrowded outlet mall food court.

Let me know if there is anything you want photos of. I am not planning on joining the queue to meet Baymax though. The children aren't interested. I assume the queue today is mostly vloggers?
Was Rosie O Donnel's video still playing?

Also it is sad that I feel Disney now is making things probably for people like the bloggers and not families.

This is TDA Perfection.

Give a theme park restaurant a location name that means absolutely nothing to actual customers, but is understood by cubicle workers and Dockers-clad managers. Because who cares about Showmanship or the actual customers?

The fact that this park hasn't had a parade in years, and thus has nothing to perform in this corridor, is almost irrellevent. Or actually makes it even better. They're idiots at this point. 🤣

Golden Vine Winery is now found in Performance Corridor.

Using this charmless and oblivious standard, the possibilities are endless...

Pirates of the Caribbean is found in New Orleans Square.... 1966 Expansion.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is located in Mickey's Toontown... Building N19

Din Tai Fung will soon debut in Downtown Disney... Plot #S42

I don't know about you guys, but I'm certainly immersed in this magic. Aren't you immersed? I'm immersed. 🫤
Remember how they had a video advertising Kite Tails and called it a "Daytime Activation"? It's like the corporate talk at some point bled over into the public facing side.

It’s just mind-boggling to me that WDI essentially rebuilt a widely-derided component of DCA 1.0.
I always thought the fishermans wharf area was a highlight of the park. Not saying it was top notch imagineering but it was a relaxing escape and seemed like a nice recreation of fisherman's wharf (never been to the real one). Relaxation/atmosphere is something that Disney doesn't understand these days.

Now the relaxing area I liked to wind down at has bright red everywhere and in your face signage.

Oh, my bad, my post was unclear. I was referring to WDI rebuilding a miniature Golden Gate Bridge.

I didn’t mind Pacific Wharf, and I don’t mind Sanfransokyo Square. Both are totally fine for what they’re trying to accomplish. IMO the SFS theming might even be a slight upgrade; it merges a bit of fantasy with the existing California realism.

But then again, it was never my relaxation spot. At DCA, that’s really only ever been Grizzly Peak for me (or Cars Land behind Flo’s).

It looks pretty okay from certain angles (and at night); other angles, not so much.

It’s just mind-boggling to me that WDI essentially rebuilt a widely-derided component of DCA 1.0. Guess I’ll brace myself for a forthcoming giant cheeseburger/flying saucer food stand lightly themed to Strange World.
I always thought the Poultry Palace was the spiritual successor to Burger Invasion.

Walked through yesterday afternoon. Cables were slightly more visible and better in person.

So. Many. Lanterns.

Will decide if I like it when the crowds subside. I did like the former calming Monterey vibe. I can understand why Disney prefers it more vibrant - keep people moving and spending.

Confirming Rosie a little late but still rewarded myself with a free piece of bread.

Yes Rosie's video exists still! Thank you!
