Does DCA have issues? Sure, frankly most parks do. Can we argue about what year it was better, or what land needs work, or this and that? Sure.

Are you a bunch of spoiled brats that have this in your backyard to go and enjoy anytime you please?

Meanwhile I am stuck with this as my only option?

Yeah, you certainly are.

And I've been to Parc Walt Disney Studios.

DCA is better.

I have to agree. Like… Come on.

There really is a good amount of misery here.

No need for anger, @Consumer! It’s just a personal opinion about something really quite inconsequential!
I almost gave you a wow emoji on that one. 😉

I still think it would have looked amazing as Stark tower (avengers tower), that would have looked better and tIed in better with both Avengers campus and Carthay Circle.

Not sure how that would work with the ride on the inside, purely from an exterior look.

I know people didn't like DCA's Tower of Terror for one reason or another, but it was the perfect attraction for the park and it looked great in the Disneyland skyline. Mission Breakout just cannot compare.

Speaking of night shots, it's amazing how much better both iterations of Paradise Pier looked at night compared to Pixar Pier.

The blues of Paradise Pier really just felt calm and peaceful, and the reds of Pixar Pier feel like an assault. The changes of Tower of Terror and Pixar Pier really highlight just how important atmosphere and aesthetics are to a theme park.

Incredulity I get—I’m often baffled by what my fellow Disney fans say about the parks. Anger, though, seems more than a little misplaced.

I am not a Marvel fan and certainly don’t enjoy the ride itself more than the Tower of Terror. My appreciation of how the rethemed building looks is aesthetic only and has nothing to do with the theme, about which I’m totally indifferent.

I prefer the Guardians ride but I’m glad they only changed DCA, we’re going to Paris in a few weeks and I can’t wait to ride “our“ version of ToT again. I have the same feeling when I go to WDW, I love that they’re all different because I don’t get tired of any of them.

I don’t dislike the exterior, I just don’t think it fits anything thematically, which is kind of weird.

Why don’t you think it fits the rest of Avengers Campus?
It’s themed to the collectors fortress, a building from a foreign planet, right next to a New York themed Avengers campus. (I think anyway, it feels like NY).

It always makes me wonder if the original idea (before the new bridge got denied) was to put avengers in the Hollywood area and theme it to space. The fact they put some weird concrete around Guardians and created a story it was transported to Avengers campus feels like an afterthought to try to make it fit.

I don’t expect others to agree with me and really don’t feel strongly enough about the matter to argue with anyone about it! But perhaps my confession will encourage a few others to out themselves as fans of the remodelled building.

I'm a wash on either exterior version, as DCA already got the cheap version compared to Florida or Tokyo.

But I like the Guardians version of the ride more than I liked the Tower of Terror. I probably won't ever go on it again because my spine just can't take it any more, but the few times I rode it in 2017 I loved it. The music, the fun, the changeability, the whole thing was just fun that always had me laughing out loud. I never really laughed on Tower of Terror, I just sort of made a little "wooo" sound.

And I'll say it again... but any Disney ride that can sneak in the Pat Benatar lyric "Before I put another notch in my lipstick case, you better make sure you put me in my place". Brilliantly trampy and subversive of WDI to get that in. 🤣

I also don't mind the tower, it's visually interesting, and the ride itself is far better.

Oh, you will love! The Paris version is a blast, with some unique twists of its own.

Your response alerts me to how little I know about Marvel, because I wasn’t even aware that the fortress belongs to a different planet!

This will be our fourth trip to Paris, and the parks, it was originally supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip but we love it so much (the city, the parks, and Europe overall) we can’t seem to stay away.

My gf keeps laughing at me because I LOVED the French Onion soup at King Ludwig’s and I’m praying it’s the same recipe at the new English place, it’s on the menu so 🤞. It’s one of the things I’m most excited for.
