Our Christmas Disneymoon 20th December-30th December 2011

Hi everyone.

I have been meaning to start this all week to cheer myself up- however I haven't been very well and then had an horrific time at my dentist yesterday which has delayed things further.

I am still in lots of pain, but want to start this tonight!

Me and my now husband James (still feels strange to say husband) got married on Saturday 17th December at 12noon in our little town Blackpool which is in the North West of England. We got married in church and had a lovely reception.

After Pirates we made our way down to Frontierland and tried to find a spot for the parade. Most spots were taken and I was kicking myself on why we hadn't got a spot sooner. However in the back of my mind I kept reminding myself that I had seen the parade before in 2008 at MVMCP.

We eventually found a spot behind a nice family and the parade began..

I do love this parade ! Its very magical and soooo christmassy! However I do miss when I don't get to see the Celebrate a Dream come True parade! But I don't know about you guys but my all time favourite parade is the 'Remember the Magic' parade.

Anyway heres some of the highlights from the parade:

After the parade we decided to walk a little further down frontierland and grabbed a bench right by the Shootin Arcade. We sat down and we both thought we needed to grab some good to keep us going. Our ADR at the Plaza Restaurant wasn't till 7:20pm and it was about 3:45 now. So James decided to go grab us a fried chicken sandwich, fries and drink. While James was away- I was people watching! I love people watching! lol I then decided to be artistic and take another picture of our ears...

After we played on here for a while, we decided to head over to Tomorrowland. On the way we decided to take use of more photopass pics and took our own with the castle... we enjoyed just taking it all in.

We had an hour to kill so we popped over to..

I adore the Carousel of Progress! I love how the ride works and the whole idea about progress. I have seen this show sooo many times and I just love the whole 'There's a great big beautiful tomorrow.. shining at the end of everyday'. Its fab! However- the next time we rode this we got stuck ( write about this when I come to it) ...

Next we went on the People Mover.. another ride I love!

After that, we still had a bit of time to kill- so we took the advice given on the people mover and went to the star traders shop... ! Here we messed around in the Star Wars section.....

So we headed to Buzz...

I love the Buzz Lightyear ride- its such good fun!! I prefer Toy Story Mania now though! lol

Anyway from there we made our way to our Dining Reservation at the Plaza Restaurant. Having never eaten here before, I wasn't sure what to expect. We checked in and were congratulated by all the cast members. We were given the buzzer and only waited about 5 minutes before we were seated.

The restaurant was full and we were put on a table with a lovely view of the castle through the window behind me.

James ordered the strawberry milkshake.. which he said was awesome.

We both fancied the burger for our main meal- which I thought was very nice indeed. Particularly the fries.. they were scrummy!!

We then shared the brownie pudding...

This was very yummy and I would definitely recommend it. The puddings all looked amazing!

To summarise our visit to the plaza- I would go back! It was like a quick service but with the waiter service. I personally thought the burger was very yummy, and better than your average disney burger. I loved the pudding! Good service.. overall good! No complaints!

After this we headed to Main Street to get ready for the Main Street Electrical Parade....

Im going to try and finish MK day tonight and begin day two shortly...

Taking me a while as my laptop is rather slow uploading the pics to photobucket.

We had a fabulous time.. already having disney withdrawal symptoms! x

When we came out of the plaza restaurant, our idea was too mooch around the shops and then find a spot for the parade. But when we came out- people were already sitting down claiming their spot.. so we took the safer option and just sat down as soon as we found a gap on main street.

I am not joking.. we waited 2 hours,.. but of course it was worth it in the end. It just seemed to take forever! It was beautiful though.. the fake snow was coming down it was sooo magical.But unfortunately where we were sitting, the snow seemed to gather and was making wet puddles underneath where we were sitting.If we stood up- it would land where we wanted to sit and make it wet for when we sat back down..arghh! anyway.. 2 hours past and the parade began..here are some highlights...

After the parade was over it was about 9:30pm.. and the Magic, memories and you show was going to start at 9:45pm- so we walked up closer to the castle.

I had never seen this before- and I really loved it! I think its sooo wonderful!

When it says 'we're going to disney world' I got chills! It was well done... we must all feels this way!

Next it was time for Holiday wishes - to end a perfect day at Magic Kingdom.
Personally I like the traditional wishes fireworks.. but theyre still very good..

so to end our first day- here are some pictures of the fireworks!

So Day 2 ( 22nd December 2011)

We got up early and had breakfast in the food court at Port Orleans.

I love their christmas tree... i think its my favourite- its sooo well themed for the park.

We decided to head towards the safari... on the way I tried on some mickey ears...

It was a beautiful clear and hot day today.. it was low 80's again.. it was glorious..

The queue was moving quickly, and it said 20 mins.. we didn't wait long at all..and made our way on the safari very quickly indeed.

Great pics and great thread! Sorry you did not like the HM que...one of my wifes favs...yummy, pic of dole whip makes me want another! My wife and I stayed at PO in 07...our fave...until we stayed at the WL this time! Ha Ha!
