Our Christmas Disneymoon 20th December-30th December 2011

Hi everyone.

I have been meaning to start this all week to cheer myself up- however I haven't been very well and then had an horrific time at my dentist yesterday which has delayed things further.

I am still in lots of pain, but want to start this tonight!

Me and my now husband James (still feels strange to say husband) got married on Saturday 17th December at 12noon in our little town Blackpool which is in the North West of England. We got married in church and had a lovely reception.

after soarin, we called it a day and headed out...

Later that evening.. we headed to downtown again.. for our ghiradelhi ice cream...

Afterwards we went and experience american cinema.. it was awesome!

the drink choices just blew our mind...

We loved it.. we went to see new years eve... it was pretty good. bit cheesy but good! :D

Ooooh, Chefs is on our list of places to eat the next time we go down there together (I got him hooked, it's exciting!). I'm glad you liked it, it looks delic!

:ROFLOL: Dan was so excited over the fez, he ran over to the rack like a little kid in a candy store.

last full day...

we headed to Hollywood studios..

We went a little late for a fastpass for toy story so we headed to star tours to get a fastpass there...

We then went for another muffin break at the writers stop...

We opted for the tables inside today as it was still a little chilly..

We then headed to watch the comedy warehouse that was being housed in the drew carey sound stage...

The show was good- obviously like Whose line is it anyway? But a bit more child friendly lol

Anyway.. after that we continued for a while but it soon became clear it was way too busy!!!

as we walked back... we were told by a cast member to go back the way we came as the star tours queue was too long to go past that way!

it was ridiculous.. look at this queue..

We went back to the hotel and decided while the sun was out and the temperature had risen.. we went and sunbathed by the pool... it was glorious!

we then went back to our room, got changed and went down to the food court for tea for the first time.
I had the beef carvery, it was yummy! and James had a pizza which he said was lovely too!

We sat there deciding on what to do on our last few hours and I came to the conclusion that if I could choose any rides to do again it would be toy story and star tours..

so we headed back to hollywood studios..

and then a quick rush over to toy story... the wait was over 100 minutes... but i felt it was worth the wait, for our final few hours left in florida..

we were playing a game to make the time go quicker.. and we had different bits to the queue to have to make it too! one of the checkpoints was of course mr potato head

when we got to the glasses part- a lady on the fastpass line, asked us how many.. so i shouted 2 and she let us go down that line! wahey!! we literally went straight up the stairs and down to the ride..

On our departure day..

we got up early and used the check in at la nouba and spent our last few hours in downtown disney..

the weather was beautiful..

for lunch was decided on our favourite, cookes of dublin..

there were no tables as always..

so we found a lovely seating area just a bit further down..

I remember sitting there in the sunshine- feeling on top of the world- we had the most amazing wedding and honeymoon. I was happy to be leaving as the parks were seriously too busy- but wished we stayed for new year- after seeing the epcot new year fireworks. lol

I always feel very sad when a holiday ends- you spend so much time waiting for it and it seems to whizz by. This year it was even more poignant as it was our honeymoon- this was my honeymoon- something you think about when you're a little girl. But you know what! I am a very lucky girl to have had a honeymoon in florida.. let alone visited florida 12 times now! I adore the place, and I hope to be back there someday very soon. In ending...

I hope you've enjoyed reading our trip- I've loved reliving it!

Here's to my next disney adventure- that I hope won't be too long away. x

And while I was down in the World a few weeks ago.we ended up staying at French Quarter, but we went over to Riverside and saw Bob two nights! He was the best! Thanks for the tip! :)

I'm pretty sure this is like our FAVORITE ride now down there... I think we rode it like 4 or 5 times? lol, I was so impressed by the way they did it. :) (and you two are adorable as always!)

I can't believe the TR's over already, I feel like you just started it... :cry: I'm so glad you guys had an AMAZING honeymoon, and fingers crossed you'll be back there soon!

Yay :) Excited to read yours!!!

Yes star tours is fab now!! Loved it! we went on it 4 times overall. :) Think we did well considering the crowds.

Just read over your trip report over the past 3 days! What a great trip! I really enjoyed reading! Congratulations on your wedding! I am hoping I will be able to spend my honeymoon (whenever that time comes) in Disney as well!!!

I've just popped on the forums to read over some trip reports and was very excited to see that my honeymoon report was back on the first page :)

I absolutely loved reading your TR, and I loved your narration and pictures. My fiancé and I are headed to Disney for our own honeymoon in August.
We actually visited England last summer, and I remember the maze at Hampton court. I think I got lost though! I loved seeing all the characters, like Henry VIII and all of his wives. I even wore one of those silly robe things!
We were engaged that same trip, although in Paris.
And I love the pic of you guys in the fezzes. Fezzes are cool. ;)
Anyway, a belated congrats!!!
