starting to get things ready to pack, ADR's made, reservation for Keys to a Kingdom set, car reservation made, mail and paper stopped, dog to son's on Friday and plans for which parks to go to when made. Look out WDW here we come. :sohappy: Sunday we're going to EPCOT but we are taking the monorail over to MK for the Flag Retreat. Looking out the window at 58 degrees and rain - I'm more that ready. Wonder if I can talk my wife into adding a week? :)

Hope you have a terrific trip! My admiration to you for your service to our country.

The Keys to the Kingdom is really insightful-I hope that Ray (female) is still providing the tour. She was great.

Have a great trip, and add that extra week.
If it gets to 58 degrees with rain in South Florida, we call in sick to work and look for signs of snow. :)

Thanks everyone I appreciate the good wishes. I've posted earlier that this trip was spur of the moment. I had kidney cancer two years ago and in July I had a small recurrance and when I got the diagnosis I turned to my wife and said, "screw it lets go to Disney". I had my surgery and everything looks good, I'm pretty well healed and feeling good. We get to Disney a couple of times a year for a couple of weeks at a time so this is a bonus. Now, I do not recommend getting cancer for an excuse to go but I figure what better place to perk up ones spirits if you do. 8laurach, thanks. My service was a long time ago but I'm glad I did it and I'd do it again.

I am taking a red eye tomorrow night and I will be in the World the 10th-18th.

It has been quite hot here, so I think it will help me adjust to Florida heat.

I am so glad that you and your wife are able to go on this trip. I hope I see you there!!

We are leaving Tuesday!!!! So I know how you feel right now!!!!!
When my boyfriend and I were about to submit and confirm our reservations for 7 days, I said "are you SURE these dates are good?"
He said,"Why don't we stay another night."
I was like- and IMMEDIATELY spun around on the computer chair, added a day, and hit submit!

Have a great trip! It has been raining like crazy here over the last few days and I've been dreaming of going back. Disney World can cure many ills.

Nice, I would have loved to be stationed in Germany :ROFLOL: I was in Korea and Okinawa Japan for a year but other than that just state side. 29 Palms is uhhhhh pretty barren :ROFLOL: spent 1 month there. Being from Texas I though 29 Palms California must be a really nice beach community.....I was wrong........:)

My son is 17 and has already joined the USAF, he should leave next summer for basic training. Now all we need is a USN sailor to round us off :ROFLOL:

My son did a couple of pumps in Okinawa also spent some time in Korea. He called 29 Palms 29 stumps. Germany was good duty. I was one of a bunch sent over there as part of the build up in response to the wall going up in Berlin. Got to Berlin several times. Was TDY all over Europe. Even got to communist Yugoslavia. We went in with a hospital unit to give aide in the earthquake in Skopje in 1963.

Tell your son this old GI thanks him for his service and wishes him well. Suprised a Marine would want a squid in the family. :ROFLOL:
