Walt Disney Square is a new sub-section of Main Street U.S.A., with many different attractions and restaurants, including Walt Disney Park, which is a new quiet area for all guests to enjoy, with character meet and greets, fountains, and more, including this being the hub when Dapper Day rolls around.

To continue, a trackless dark ride similar to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be coming to this new sub-area, under the name A Disneyland Adventure, taking you on Goofy’s train through the Disneyland as Walt knew it, and with Goofy as an engineer, what could possibly go wrong?

Finally, Walt’s Cafe will be added, featuring recipes of the Disney Family will be served at a new table service restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating that will sure to be a must do for all Disney fans, with decor themed to the Disneyland as Walt knew it.

Bonus:
A new fountain will be added to the esplanade, and will be a circular fountain, with Mickey Mouse on top of a sphere in the center, with various Disneyland Resort landmarks surrounding the sphere.

-Legacy of a Dream Parade-

1517034310828.png

A new daytime parade coming to Disneyland dedicated to the works and legacy of Walt Disney anchored by a new song "From a sketch to the screen, the legacy of a dream."

Oswald kicks off the parade with a float dedicated to old Disney shorts, then floats dedicated to animated films Walt Disney worked on (from Snow White to Jungle Book) with live sketch artists on each float working on drawings of the characters/films as the parade goes on (the sketches are sold on Main Street afterwards).

The finale is a grand float visually based on Disneyland itself and full of the most popular Disney Animated characters carrying on Walt's legacy (from Ariel to Elsa)!

-Bonus-

A circular stage will be built between Disneyland and California Adventure ordained with sketches of Disney characters from throughout the years, and live sketch artists, musicians, and more perform throughout the day.

Tomorrowland Showcase

Replacing Tomorrowland Expo Center and consequently Star Wars Launch Bay, Tomorrowland Showcase would be a flex space meant for exhibits in a completely refurbished building, inside and out. Two exibitions would be (originally) hosted in here: Walt: man of the future and Keep Moving Forward: what tomorrow holds.

Walt: man of the future would showcase Walt Disney’s history, from Marceline to the world, and focus on how he was indeed a man ahead of his time: from WEDway to E.P.C.O.T., not forgetting Disneyland itself and its at-the-time revolutionary Audio-Animatronics. (Think One Man’s Dream on steroids, full of miniature models and video presentations).

Then, explore Keep Moving Forward: what tomorrow holds - an exhibition all about the future and its technologies, sponsored by the biggest brands out there (such as Apple, Samsung, Boing and more). VR, projections, holograms and much more would make this exhibition a one-of-its-kind (just as CommuniCore during EPCOT Center’s old days).

- BONUS -
Between both parks would sit a large tree, representing Walt himself, joined by statues of the Fab 5. Every year on his birthday, a lantern would be lit and hung on one of the tree’s branches - although Disney might be long gone, his spirit is still alive throught the parks and on every fan’s heart.

Mickey and the Man

Mickey and the Man will be located in every Disneyland in the world as a stage show in Main Street. The show will feature lights, projections, live actors, and an original song that will be known as "The Man Who Dreamed". The show's main focus will be Walt Disney's journey through his lifetime; from drawing Mickey to creating movies, from the Wonderful World of Disney to Disneyland, and lastly, Walt's speech about EPCOT. The show's length will be about 20-30 minutes, and will utilize the main language of the country it is in (does that make sense?).

Bonus: The new statue between Disneyland and DCA will be Sorcerer Mickey and the brooms from Fantasia.

Disney Life Showcase
Walt-Disney-756057.jpg

For an attraction to truly honor Walt Disney and his ideas, it shouldn't reflect on the his life; rather it should look towards a new creative idea and completely revolutionize the Disney company via one BIG risk.

Disney Life will be replacing Autopia (a popular attraction that takes up a lot of space) and will create a homeless shelter on the lot, where guests can enter (from a different entrance) and help sort clothes, cook meals, and arrange shelter for the hundreds of individuals who stay the night.

The Life Showcase area will allow guests to get the best gift on their vacations - the gift of giving - by contributing to the huge community of LA.

Bonus: A statue of Mickey standing on stop of the globe will sit between the two parks.

Great Moments with Mr. Disney

Something I find that is missing from Disneyland that Walt Disney World has is One Man's Dream; a tribute to Walt Disney and different moments along the way.

With items like the map of Disneyland, the model for Sleeping Beauty's Castle and the original park bench all on location, the pre-show area is already set up to flow into the brand new show.

The new show will look at Walt's life from early age to the struggle of Oswald and rise of Mickey, up until the opening of Disneyland where the narration then ends with, "And the rest, is history", where guests then exit the show back onto Main Street USA to see the original Disney land and castle.

Bonus:
In the centre of the Esplanade, you can find a fountain of the Fab Five where guests can take their pictures with their favourite, lovable characters.

Carolwood Legacy Tunnel - Disneyland Railroad
20754492deed66b5746a11eacb925695--disney-college-disney-parks.jpg

The Grand Canyon Diorama and the subsequent Primeval World sections as the finale to the Disneyland Railroad had never seemed to mesh with either the Tomorrowland or a turn of the century midwestern Main Street themes, and therefore to tie those lands closer together with the founder of Disneyland, Walt Disney himself, those exhibits will be moved to a to be determined Disney museum, and the transition back to Main Street will involve a Carolwood Legacy Tunnel Exhibit.

Walt's love of trains dates back to the miniature Carolwood Pacific Railroad (originally planned to be a ride in Disneyland), which inspired him to create the Disneyland Railroad, and as you transition from the Tomorrowland Station, you enter a time traveling tunnel to the 1950s where you can view Walt Disney in animatronic form, riding the Carolwood Pacific alongside you.

The narrator of the railroad explains the history of the Carolwood Pacific, and its impact on Walt Disney and Disneyland, which continues as you ride through the rolling Holmby Hills in the early 1950s, then you transition (to the former Primeval World section) and now you're riding alongside another train en-route to Marceline, MO - where Walt Disney can be seen drawing sketches of Mickey Mouse, and thus you have completed your journey through time and arrive at the turn of the century Main Street that started it all.

Mickey Through The Ages:

Set in Toon Town, this ride is an ode to the mouse who started it all, including a brief cameo by the Rabbit who came first. This ride takes you through the black and white era of cartoons and into the modern era, starting with Oswald handing over a sketchbook and pencil to Mickey with a speech bubble telling Mickey to take care of Walt (sense sound wasn't used yet), follows Mickey as he shows off a selection of his old cartoon selves almost photo album style, and ends with Mickey handing the same sketchbook over to modern Mickey.

The adventures of oswald the lucky rabbit
Oswald-the-Lucky-Rabbit-.jpg

This new dark ride in Toontown will be all about how oswald disappeared from Disney and had to find his way back home. You follow oswald after he falls into a hole where he then encounters many of the disney parks original IP characters and locations (that aren't already at disneyland), the cop house, the arts world, the ship of miss adventure, and finally a chase through the center of the Earth. He then finally pops up back at the disneyland where he meets mickey and sees the walt statue. Oswald becomes sad, but mickey cheers him up by taking him to California Adventure, where he can be the star!
(Ok this was really stretching what counted as "Walt" but whatever.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bonus: Since there is no Roy statues that I know of at Disneyland, have a statue of Roy with Oswald since they're the underlooked brother to the big star, but are still just as loved.
Oswald is maybe a stretch when we’re looking for Walt, but I’ll allow it. Oswald conjures those vintage nostalgic images we associate with Walt, and with Walt’s slow creative rise. In a way you’re telling Walt’s story using Oswald, which is neat. The climax with DCA is logical and nicely meta, and an Oswald dark ride would fit like a glove…in DCA.

Bonus: There was a little debate because Magic Kingdom does have a Roy statue, but it’s true Disneyland Resort doesn’t. With Walt statues in both parks, Roy’s a great Esplanade addition.

Drawn to Life!
View attachment 259241
Replacing the Fantasyland Theater is a new adventure featuring Walt Disney and his animation legacy, while also functioning as a new way to enter toon town. Guests will enter an artist’s abode that matches the Fantasyland scenery, where they will board their trackless carts, before driving off to crowd around an AA Walt drawing Mickeymouse on a wall, which then comes to life via projection mapping, and opens the Toon World using an effect similar to the mirror in Enchanted Tales with Belle. You wander through some of the most iconic cartoon movies and short films, featuring Mickey Mouse, Oswald, Roger Rabbit, Etc. Before being dropped of in Toontown.

Bonus:
The current compass will be raised into fountain form, with sorcerer Mickey standing on a burst of water, while spinning and conducting the water to match the background music.
There’s a rumor floating around that Mickey’s Runaway DHS Ride (or whatever they’re calling it) might likely be replacing the Fantasyland Theater out west, so top points for realism…and for one-upping that idea. Having the ride double as alternate transport into Toontown is great, and the Walt elements would make this all the more appealing for Disneyland’s clientele. His drawing coming to life is the standout moment.

Bonus: A statue of Sorcerer Mickey conducting waves was my first idea. Glad to see it.

Walt Disney Square recalls Edison Square, an idea Walt had for that same spot alongside Main Street. Since then, Space Mountain has moved in. It might be difficult to fit a whole mini-land and dark ride into the remaining backstage, but I salute your ambition. There are a lot of individually solid ideas going on here. Walt’s Café is my favorite (I’m surprised we didn’t see more restaurants). A Disneyland Adventure sounds like a lot of fun. HUGE marks for creating a map!

Bonus: A Disneyland Resort landmarks fountain? Like miniature versions of Splash, Space or the Castle, with Mickey looming over them like Godzilla? I like it!

Is it too soon to start planning Disneyland’s 75th anniversary? Your parade would be a wonderful addition for that! This is a smart choice, as a parade can pay tribute to Walt without making severe alterations to his park. I love the parade’s chronology from Oswald to Disneyland and beyond (needs Epcot City), and how it all ties in with handmade sketches. Your descriptions imply more than they state outright, and are very evocative.

Bonus: Disneyland doesn’t have a castle stage like some other parks, and I imagine that’s sort of what you’re adding to the Esplanade. It’s not a permanent photo op, but if successful could be really effective.

Welcome! I’m glad to have you joining our game. :)

Your exhibit proposals have a great mix of reverence and showmanship. The Tomorrowland exhibit space is a tricky location; not even Star Wars can draw crowds into it. Would these ideas? Hard to say. “Keep Moving Forward” sounds like what Innoventions ought to be but rarely is. “Walt: Man of the Future” is a surprisingly decent fit for Tomorrowland, though I could see it replacing the existing Walt exhibit in the Opera House on Main Street. A solid and ambitious proposal. Excited to see more from you!

Bonus: This tree is touching and reverent. The image of Walt interacting with his characters is simply charming. This really softens the Esplanade’s harsh concrete. Best of all, it adds shade!

A stage show, like a parade, is I think a very fitting way to honor Walt. Tokyo Disneyland already has something like this (in Tomorrowland for some reason), and it’s very popular there. Your proposal to place this in every castle park is certainly ambitious and admirable. One missing detail, though, is precisely where this stage would be in Disneyland.

Bonus: Hello again, Sorcerer Mickey! It’s obvious but it’s perfect.

I honestly was not expecting a homeless shelter. Would it work in Disneyland? That, I just cannot say. Would Epcot City have worked? The only way to know would be to build it. Naysayers doubted Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Disneyland, et cetera, and Walt excelled every time. You’ve touched on Walt’s spirit to a remarkable degree with a deeply philanthropic concept. While I fear certain tourists would be disrespectful, there’s great potential here to do genuine good. Maybe a very unrealistic proposal, but I strongly admire your boldness!

Bonus: Godzilla Mickey is now terrorizing the entire globe!
