The parks were also great. It was nice to see people out at the parks and DS enjoying life. Things are starting to get back to normal here too. We tried to eat out Friday night. We gave up after four restaurants all had a one-hour wait. Granted we're still at 50% capacity, but it was good to see. Our numbers are falling like a rock without any draconian lockdowns.I agree. My shifts at the parks are pretty depressing sometimes because of how slow it is. Yesterday it felt normal for once.
you keep saying for the past month or longer but in reality the cases, hospitalizations etc. all the numbers are dropping fast. That's not good at all. From reports I have heard mask wearing and social distancing is low. Most just don't care. Its concerning it has to be this way. Like I have said multiple times people wanted things open but many can't be bothered to social distance and wear a mask. IT REALLY ISN'T THAT HARD
Yes they are dropping, still doesn't mean we should stop social distancing and wearing masks.you keep saying for the past month or longer but in reality the cases, hospitalizations etc. all the numbers are dropping fast.
Yep...if you say anything long enough, eh?you keep saying for the past month or longer but in reality the cases, hospitalizations etc. all the numbers are dropping fast.
Not at all. That is a recipe for “manifest stupidity”Yes they are dropping, still doesn't mean we should stop social distancing and wearing masks.
Well not exactly what you have been saying with your constant warnings of impending doom and disaster, once with the parks opening, then sports, schools etc and then the numbers still keep dropping, the mask mandate probably will be lifted soon in the county and so on.Yes they are dropping, still doesn't mean we should stop social distancing and wearing masks.
That would be dumb.Well not exactly what you have been saying with your constant warnings of impending doom and disaster, once with the parks opening, then sports, schools etc and then the numbers still keep dropping, the mask mandate probably will be lifted soon in the county and so on.
Epcot even exceeded that twice. Was quite a surprise.

Amazing what letting people in can do.
Uni broke it the last two weeks, extended hours yet again for next week and opened some formerly shuttered quick service food locations back up on weekends.
Excellent question?Which park is performing the worst?
And then the cold “winter” sets in.Next week is Labor Day. Of course they'd extend hours
That would be dumb.
It’s stunning that the lessons of June seem to not be sinking in for the fall/winter. Shutting down is not currently warranted...but “do what you want” all of the sudden is?
Let’s spin the wheel
The daily attendance in MK is closer to 17,000, right now. Usually, it’s 70,000.
It’s variable...but that’s not close to a “cap” for MK...Incorrect.
The cast members who are in a non union role could be in jeopardyIt depends on two things:
1. Who’s cheaper?
2. What does “knowing how to do the job” entail?
Excellent question?
My guess is DAK.
And then the cold “winter” sets in.
Which is exactly what the medical people warn against and what’s not being talked about by the hoax crowd is they have been pretty on point. Not necessarily the size of infections...but the consequences of actions taken or not taken.Interesting that every time the cases start to go down, certain people want to lift all restrictions immediately, masks and everything, as if the virus magically "disappeared".
Lifting everything immediately will just place everyone back to square one...again.
Agree...but you give the “union” more credit than I do based on experience. They don’t have a lot of teeth. The cast members who are in a non union role could be in jeopardy
Reasonable deduction is dak...because we know cms and aps/Florida residents are a substantial chunk of business now and nothing drives them like FOOD BOOTHSConsidering EPCOT and DAK are both losing 2 hours next month, as opposed to MK and DHS only losing one, yeah it's probably one of these two.
I don’t think the college program ever comes back as big as it was. Disney saved some money, but they learned those kids could be took away on a school’s whim.
People need to remember that before the parks closed it wasn’t Disney decision to shut the program down. It was made for them by the schools recalling their students. I doubt Disney has a desire to have such a large portion of their workforce that can be took away from them by the decisions of outsiders.
COVID-19 was a special case, but don’t think for a minute that activist groups didn’t notice Disney had to shut down the college program because of decisions of college administrators. Those activist groups would not hesitate in future to pressure colleges to recall their students if they wanted something from Disney.
I cancelled my trip to Japan this winter. Just too much planning involved for something that may not happen. I rebooked my Disney Baltic cruise next August. Please. please can cruises resume and borders open. I can guarantee you I won't be replacing it with WDW again. We had a fantastic time, but dang the heat and humidity kicked my butt. If Europe falls through I'm going to Alaska in August.Well not exactly what you have been saying with your constant warnings of impending doom and disaster, once with the parks opening, then sports, schools etc and then the numbers still keep dropping, the mask mandate probably will be lifted soon in the county and so on.
