Funny you should say that because my wife and I have noticed that Francona has been making too few good calls for the past 2 1/2 months. I was at Turner field on July 4th week-end when the Braves played against the Sox and Lowe was pounded for some major runs in the 6th (?) inning. All the Sox fans there were calling for the bullpen to come rescue the game.

As for the ShortStop situation, I've discovered a good young player with some good potential to replace Cabrera in a few years. ;)

And yes, that's the one. I've been told by the Fire Department that I need a license to grill from now on.

What the heck is going on with baseball ??? I understand that fans will always talk smack (ok) and sometimes throw things on the field (not ok) but to have a player do this in retaliation? This guy definately needs to be suspended.

Ok, that was waaaay out of line. Broken noses & cut up faces?! I've seen players yell at the fans in the bleachers, but throw chairs at them! Come on...the fact that Showalter did not condemn him immediately, but said the fans went over the line...we always have problems here...man.

Fines, suspensions and a civil lawsuit (by the woman whose nose was broken), just what baseball needs; and they wonder why the people don't come out to the parks. :rolleyes:

It's bad enough you have to worry about getting hit with a foul ball...or even a bat...but now CHAIRS???

Man, I had been watching that game, and it must have happend after I went to bed. I read this in school today and the guy sitting next to me in class says "Man, when did baseball turn in to hockey?" Some people are idiots.

I think that's the problem right there...he wasn't thinking! I wonder what got him so miffed that the macho in him had to lay the smackdown on the fan AND on innocent people. I was watching Baseball tonight and John Kruk was MAD. He thinks the guy should get suspended and sued by the poor lady that was in the line of fire. What he did was uncalled for :mad:.

WDWFREAK53 and I went to the Red Sox game tonight. What a great game! Schilling got his 20th win and then afterwards, the Farrelly Brothers were filming a scene from their new movie with Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore so we stuck around to be extras in the form of Red Sox fans in the crowd. :lol: One of the Brothers announced that he wanted everyone to "Just be themselves" so after they filmed Drew running across the field to Jimmy, everyone started shouting "Yankees *inhale deeply*!" It was pretty funny, since that was the first thing the Brother said as well. And they had extras that were out on the field in full Red Sox and Devil ray uniforms, but when the guy that was supposed to be Johnny Damon got out there, the real Johnny came running out and took his place, so Johnny Damon really will be in the movie.
