Today is a picture perfect day here. The sky looks like Ferris Bueller's day off (if only ) . I actually have a bit of catching up to do since I was off yesterday. :(

More rain predicted for this afternoon.

On a side note, I-95 has a fairly large hole in it near downtown. Is going to delay those heading to WDW unless they take I-295. I think I'll go post it on trip planning.

All the way up to 81 now! We went to the park for a picnic lunch, then to Rita's for dessert. It's a hard life, this retirement stuff....

Just got back from donating blood. One less pint for the zombies to snack on! Almost passed out - again - yet I keep going back! Got myself 2 free Mets tickets for donating (and the warm fuzzy feeling that I am helping people).

Think I deserve some Rita's today. Oh wait - THERE AREN'T ANY CLOSE. Might need to polish off the rest of the fudge.

Due to some odd regulations, Dave And I are not allowed to donate blood, although he used to regularly. The most we ever got was cookies and a couple of coffee mugs.

Do you get time out of work to donate or did you have to do it on your own time?

Time off - they were doing it in the conference room in my building so we went down together. I love the feeling of doing a good thing - but hate the weird woozy feeling. I'm kind of little - and you need to be 110 to donate. I just barely make it over that so that may be part of it. I think it's a bit mental too (where's all my blood??!)

Cue redsox guy with a creepy photo...
