Have you ever been there? Pandora employs music quite masterfully and strategically that make the landscape seem true to itself.

Pandora features a bombastic score in both attractions, explodes with a epic drumming show, and sets the relaxed tone with area music around both eateries- making me really ready for a margarita or cheeseburger pod! However, what Pandora also does is it employs nature as area music. The whimsical creatures singing from the trees and the mountains is sweetly musical. The waterfalls are a splendid music.

Galaxy’s Edge does not have general area music in it’s zones, which can be deafeningly quiet as Batuu has no natural elements to compensate. It has no ‘natural’ rhythmic sounds. Instead, there is an annoying bombardment of diegetic noises- the sound of billions of bugs and critters mating in the trees and bushes. In the marketplace a single radio plays DJ Rex quietly. The Ronto Roasters engine makes an endless hissing noise, which unmatched to any music, makes the area unbearable to be in after a few moments.
Yep, been to Pandora. I just picked-up the natural noises, which are insanely perfect. You have to be deaf not to here the drum show - added some timely energy. Didn't notice music around the eateries. For SWGE, you don't think the piped sounds are done as well as Pandora I take it. I don't want to venture too far off topic.

Thats a lot of words to say 'I like music'.

There is a thematic reason why there isn't music. Live with it. If you need music for your enjoyment, I don't know what to tell you.

Now, I'm someone that doesn't listen to music basically ever. So I'm definitely biased to not caring about it. But to say things like you don't know what the Falcon is without music is silly.

And I can't comprehend that not having some BGM can negatively influence people to their detriment. Especially those who have only seem the land through YouTube.
I think what @Mickeyboof is trying to say is that music evokes emotions and would help us form a connection to a land that we have zero emotional connection to because we've never seen it before, and also because it's supposed to be an inhabited outpost marketplace - marketplaces are usually lively places with various sources of music from restaurants and live entertainers. I agree 100% that the right score can go a long way in setting a mood.

I saw the Falcon on the website for an hour, then finally got a time that worked for me. When I clicked on it, it went to another screen and back to the falcon. It's been that way for 45 minutes. Now the Paws appeared. Just the worst. Now it looks like all the times are gone.

Yes, now all the times I want are gone, which I find hard to believe, up to dates in December, I can't get any times to come up. Especially with mandatory 45 minute windows on getting people out, something might be up. Who knows, I feel so cheated.

Try the app or Internet Explorer--that is what worked for me.

Maybe Ticketmaster bought all the openings left to scalp them over on StubHub. 😛

Seriously though. Disney's website sucks. Hire some real IT people back, WDW.
Honestly it does seem like maybe someone set up a bot to grab reservations or the database is down. It may have been working fine earlier, but not now.

I wonder if calling might be easier. I feel like you'd be stuck on hold forever, but maybe it would work. The app even showed the perfect time, but when I clicked on it, it said to go to disneyworld.com. This is worse than Ticketmaster.

I keep getting time selected not available or some sort of error while trying to book Oga's in October, freaking crazy. I even got it one time and clicked Next to confirm and then got an error "sorry for the paws" Ugh

What day in October are you looking to reserve? I’m trying to see if it’s working on my device still!

I’ve been to the land. I can’t even recall reading people’s reviews based only on YouTube videos. Where are you seeing this?

Have you ever been to this site? Or this thread? Or any Disney site? For example, the post that got me to reply in the first place: https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/ogas-cantina-at-disneys-hollywood-studios.957025/post-8815040

Did I say I didn’t recognize the falcon? Did I actually write that?

Go back and re read if you want to be correct.[/quote]

Yes, you did.

It’s the Falcon, but without the music, whose Falcon is it?

To keep this false sense of “immersion” or reality, There should be more diegetic sounds to complete the experience.

If you barely listen to music, why are you even commenting about it?

There ARE sounds. Now, maybe they aren't active at WDW, but there are sounds at DLR of ships flying over, of speeders going by, etc. They are used to hide the noise from the train and riverboat, and also to add to the land. Do those not exist at WDW?

It’s awesome you didn’t watch anything or keep tabs on the promises that the Walt Disney Company boldly proclaimed, but that doesn’t mean our concerns and complaints are any less valid because we eagerly kept up to date with this new land.

I missed this the first time, but I can't believe the gigantic leap you made here. My point wasn't about holding TWDC to anything or invalidating your complaints. It was about going into something unspoiled, as an experience onto itself, without seeing it beforehand. Do I want to see the things that were promised when this was announced, such as the residents of Batuu knowing what you did on the Falcon, and more integration of the datapad app/MagicBand and what it can do? Absolutely. But having BGM isn't going to improve any of that - just because Disney uses it elsewhere doesn't mean it needs to be used everywhere.

I tried the app and it said due to high demand Dining reservations are only being done on Disneyworld.com
On my iPhone there was a small grey arrow at the top of that notice. If you hit that arrow it let you make reservations through the app.

If it comes up again while booking (it came up a few times for me) you can close it again the same way.

Whose falcon is it is not the same not recognizing the falcon.

The Falcon sits there, without Chewie and some guy named Hondo who suddenly is letting us drive the dang thing.

Without any recognizable themes, the falcon has less emotional impact which is further muddied by the convoluted backstory of Hondo and Chewie.

Reading those things Disney promised spoiled the land more than anything people on this forum can possibly write about.

Nothing more immersive than invisible ships flying around my head!
