I do believe that the beige castle-like architecture behind the Oktoberfest building was originally supposed to be a Rhine River Attraction in Epcot, but was never built.

I believe I read about it in The Imagineering Field Guide to Epcot, maybe that's not the exact spot it was supposed it be. But I know it said something about building the building, but never putting the ride in it for one reason or another.
