Official Meet thread

It's Official, the Meet will be held in Dec. I know many of you will be there for the first 2 weeks and I suggest that we use the MVMCP as our main "Meet" location. We will have 2 "Meets" at the party with one being on either wed. or thurs. of the first week and on Mon. or Tues. of the second week. Just as soon as they announce the dates, we can firm this up. I strongly suggest not doing the party on the weekend because of the crowds.

I will need suggestion from all of you for other meeting places, dining suggestions if everyone would like to meet somewhere for a meal and any other ideas that you can come up with. And if anyone would like to volunteer to help out please either PM or e-mail me.

I will also need everyone who will be going to pm me with your dates and your e-mail address so that you can be contacted with important information for the Meet. It is a good idea if you would also add to this thread by telling me that you are going. If you would rather keep it private, than please PM or e-mail me with your information.

MainStreetUSA (Zac) has graciously agreed to make shirts for the affair. Thank you Zac!!
I will need everyones input on the shirts.

Please indicate in your responses on here if you would like them to be:
Long/Short Sleeve
Specific Color
A specific saying/wording

Please keep in mind that they will have WDWMagic.com Official Meet Dec. 2003 on them. And we are not allowed to have disney characters on them.

Zac will have a thread up where you can vote on the shirts that he will design. You will then order your shirts directly from him by PM. Please make sure that you include all of your information for him including size, name, address etc.

The cost for the shirts will run approx. $25 a piece. This will cover the cost of shipping also.

I'm only about 6'2", one foot taller than my wife, which is why I look so much taller.

Still not sure whether or not we'll be coming down, but we're certainly going to try.

Count me in! :sohappy: I'm 80% positive I can make it, but I'll need to check a couple of things before I can make it for SURE. Since I'm a Casual Temp, I will try to schedule work around the time you guys meet. And on my final couple of days in FL I'll join up with the gang and have some fun before returning back home. I'll most likely book a room in the Allstars (tight budgeted :lol: ) and tickets shoudn't be a prob if my ID's still valid.

Hi there all, Please make sure that you check out the Dessert Party Poll thread to vote for your choice!!! In case you werent aware it goes something like this:
we will have a special viewing area of either Illuminations or Fantasmic.
A guide will be set up for each group of 50 to escort us confused: )
We will go to our viewing locationand have a buffet of desserts and coffee on which to dine and of course the show!
I am not quite sure if they serve desserts all through the show or just before the beginning, but either way I am into it!!

oh i wish i could go! my family was actually considering going in the first weeks of december, because that's apparently when it's the least crowded. but we probably won't know for a few months yet if we're actually going. :\ i suppose if i ended up going i would see some of you fine people anyhow. i just wouldn't be a part of the 'official' festivities, eh?

Hey Maelstrom, The dessert party has to arranged in advance the MVMCP does not however. If you write to me or Pam (KingdomKonsultant) I am sure we can tell you where we will be at least for the beginning portion of the night. I am doing a list so that we know who will be available. If you are a last minute join in to the MVMCP Im sure there wont be a problem with that. Belle

Escort? Nah, they're there to keep non-party members out of the 'convention' area and to keep people from 'clotheslining' themselves when the area gets dark (I've seen it happen) :animwink: . I worked as a Convention Guide at Epcot, so I've seen it all! Drunk guests, lost guests, bad guests, angry guests... :lol:

MainstreetUSA is taking orders for the shirts and I don't see any problem with you purchasing one. He is going to have a poll up with the designs that he has come up with so that we can pick one.

The MEGA MEET will be held on Saturday the 6th at 1p.m. Location is to be announced. Deb Wills ( of wdwig and ALL EARS) has asked me to let you know that many Disney guide book authors and webmasters will also be there. Including Bob Sehlinger, Jennifer Watson and Dave Marx (writers of the PassPorter guidebooks) etc.

I hope to see you all at WDWMagic's meet and the dessert party. If any of you are interested in our dessert party, please lte me know. I will keep everyone posted on the MEGA MEET as I get information given to me from Deb.
