Official Meet thread

It's Official, the Meet will be held in Dec. I know many of you will be there for the first 2 weeks and I suggest that we use the MVMCP as our main "Meet" location. We will have 2 "Meets" at the party with one being on either wed. or thurs. of the first week and on Mon. or Tues. of the second week. Just as soon as they announce the dates, we can firm this up. I strongly suggest not doing the party on the weekend because of the crowds.

I will need suggestion from all of you for other meeting places, dining suggestions if everyone would like to meet somewhere for a meal and any other ideas that you can come up with. And if anyone would like to volunteer to help out please either PM or e-mail me.

I will also need everyone who will be going to pm me with your dates and your e-mail address so that you can be contacted with important information for the Meet. It is a good idea if you would also add to this thread by telling me that you are going. If you would rather keep it private, than please PM or e-mail me with your information.

MainStreetUSA (Zac) has graciously agreed to make shirts for the affair. Thank you Zac!!
I will need everyones input on the shirts.

Please indicate in your responses on here if you would like them to be:
Long/Short Sleeve
Specific Color
A specific saying/wording

Please keep in mind that they will have WDWMagic.com Official Meet Dec. 2003 on them. And we are not allowed to have disney characters on them.

Zac will have a thread up where you can vote on the shirts that he will design. You will then order your shirts directly from him by PM. Please make sure that you include all of your information for him including size, name, address etc.

The cost for the shirts will run approx. $25 a piece. This will cover the cost of shipping also.

Can someone tell me what MVMCP is? Heh. Things might make a little more sense then.

As for the shirts, I think they should be a bold, Christmas-y green. Like a green crayola marker. Or, maybe a nice blue (maybe toward the lighter side of blue, a happy medium between sky and royal), or a royal purple. But I definately vote for green. And not red! Anything but red! Even brown is better than red.

I'm still working on my mother to agree to a December trip. Even my dad said he would like to go then, so I'm hopeful!

Guests arrive via main entrance at the Disney-MGM Studios. Escorted by Convention Guides to your exclusive patio, an evening filled with enchantment, fun, and merry making awaits you. Dine on the sweet delectables that our world renown chefs have prepared for you in this private dessert party. Relax as you sip from some of our premium beverages. Enjoy the fun that is the Fantasmic! adventure.

All Day Guests enjoy a day of fun at the Disney-MGM Studios

TBD based on theme park hours Convention guides escort your party to the Fantasmic! Patio

TBD based on theme park hours Enjoy the Fantasmic! Show for an evening filled with:

·Fantasmic! viewing on a private patio

·Scrumptious dessert party filled with sweet sensations or a fabulous light reception menu created by our own chefs

Well, i hope to be down here in january, but I won't know for sure anytime soon. I have applied for an internship here at WDW that would start in january, but i won't know untill june or july if i am accepted for it. So you can put me down as a maybe. And if i'm not offered the internship, i might make a special trip down for the meet.

Can we have one during the last 2 weeks of christmas also? I live 2 hours away and will be able to make it on the days of Christmas break, but during the first 2 weeks I will be studying for exams, or I will be taking them.

Hye Pan how are you and welcome to the boards!!!!! As far as the meet goes, Another member of this board named Kingdom Konsultant had this great idea of having people who post on the boards regularly to maybe meet up at a time that we were all going anyhow. The most popular month seemed to be December. This is how the Meet & Greet was born. We arent forcing anyone to stay at the same hotels or anything. That would be too complicated. We are going to meet at one of two Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties to be held in the later part of the week in the first week and the earlier part of the week on the second week. We would love for you to join us. Another idea that we are attempting is to do a dessert party at Fantasmic!! This would be held only on December 5th, 2003 ( Walt's Brithday as someone else pointed out!!)There are patios above the bleachers that they use for just that. We are going to have a dessert party there. This is by reservation only, it is $28.00 per person and must be sent to Pam (Kingdom Konsultant) as soon as possible. In addition to being a member of the boards as well as a sponsor she is also a travel agent. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!! Belle

It all depends on if my parents let me. I wont be 16 till next month so it is all up to them. I will be able to drive myself and probably have the money to do it, its just if I am allowed. It also depends on what time.

Hey Pan, Yes it will definitely require park admission as well as the cost of the party. It is a dessert party, kinda like a Venetian hour at a wedding. I Am very much looking foward to it.

Hey Turkey Leg Boy, I have no idea how this was set up or what makes it the OFFICIAL meet & greet although I do believe that Pam has cleared this with Steve, who runs the WDWMagic Site.

Turbo I will keep my fingers crossed for you, however as I said before I know Pam will need the money for the party as soon as possible. I am sure the party will be held at night, probably around closing time for MGM, Figure about 7 -8 pm at latest.

As Miss Belle stated above the Official Meet and Greet was discussed between Steve and I. He also gave his ok to t-shirts being designed by MainStreetUSA for the meet. We had a poll up for a while to decide what month to have it in and since it seemed like the majority of the people were going in the beginning of Dec., we planned it for the first two weeks.

Many other forum members have been involved behind the scenes...myself included. I'll be there for the dessert party; I'm not sure about the parades as I'll only be staying for the weekend.
