Now that indoor masking is back are you cancelling your next trip?

I've seen an awful lot of chatter on various sites of people cancelling but I wonder if its just talk.
Anyone on here actually cancelling their upcoming trip purely due to having to mask up indoors again?
Or anyone cancelling due to no longer feeling comfortable going due to rising cases?
If so what were your dates?
I have 2 trips coming up August 25-30 and November 18-22 with no intention of cancelling either.

No. I intend to be there for the 50th anniversary. I would prefer no masks but I have my Disney-themed masks ready to wear if I absolutely have to.

We are on the fence here with our Nov trip. Trying to wait and see. Anyone know how the airlines are handling cancelations now?

I'm sure its gonna depend on the airline.
But we've been in a pandemic for 17 months now so I'm guessing that at this point they are back to their normal cancellation policies because we all know what we are getting into unlike those who had flights booked for last year before the pandemic happened.

Yes, depends on the airline. I fly United and they are not charging change fees. Depending on the class of ticket I either get a future flight credit or a refund (refund for flights that were booked under their "refundable" category).

We have a trip in Sept, I don't see my family as cancelling. A friend had a trip Mid August, she just told me last night they decided to cancel (I was going to Dog/House sit while they were gone). They canceled b/c of the rise in cases, not b/c they had to wear masks.

Sucks for them b/c this trip was already the reschedule from last year, so now they're going to lose their points etc.

We canceled our September trip due to masks.

Going in 4 weeks. Not cancelling. Expiring banked DVC points from 2020. Haven't gone anywhere in two years. Itching to go away lol Purchased some cute Disney face masks when they were on super clearance ($1.50 a mask). Going with the flow. If the trip doesn't go as planned, oh well, we'll be back another time to do/see more.

I might cancel Aulani, not because of masks at the resort but because of masks on planes.
Actually, if you keep your (quality, correctly-worn) mask on in an airplane, you're probably safe. It's when you take it down to eat or drink on a plane that you can breathe in virus. Happened to me, from a woman in the row behind me coughing and sneezing and refusing to wear a mask even after being given one by the attendants. I didn't get Covid-19, but I did get Covid-related perniosis (Covid toes) in May, caused by an over-production of Interferon-1 by my fully-vaxxed immune system.

I'm not afraid of COVID, I don't feel like wearing a mask.

OP here. I just wanted to say that I honestly hate most masks because they fog my glasses.
My favorite mask falls under what Disney does not allow.
So I decided to give the Disney masks a try and bought a ton because they were on clearance.
They are very similar to my favorite mask in fabric and that it has a thick seam around it.
It does not fog my glasses so I think even though I'm not a mask fan I at least found something tolerable. Plus they are all so cute!

There is no win / win but close enough. We all want this to be done.

I could be wrong, but I doubt the people who post here are the ones who will be canceling trips. Those who go several times a year can afford to have a trip or two be less than magical because they know they’ll be back for a better experience in the not too distant future. Heck, a lot of us are DVC.

I think the ones who will cancel (or not book in the first place) are the infrequent or once in a lifetime visitors who want everything to be perfect. Unfortunately for Disney, they constitute a very large percentage of their visitors.
That would be us Chi-I haven't been in almost 6 years-we have a trip planned for Sept 13-22-I thought masks would be a thing of the past before we arrived but as we now know that ain't happenin'! But we have no plans of canceling. Whats my option? Wait til this goes away? Nope gotta go while I can. Keep the masks handy for indoors. No clue when I'll have the chance again.

I agree - carpe diem! As much as I hope the present surge is just a temporary setback on a slow upward trajectory, there's no guarantee that some new, even-worse variant won't spring up that changes the game all over again. It's best to do what we can, while we can (while taking reasonable precautions, anyway - I'd certainly feel significantly less enthusiastic about trying to carpe diem if my whole family hadn't already been able to carpe vaccinum).

Nope, still going. I'm vaxxed AND have no problem wearing my mask. Frankly, I wish Disney would just make it mandatory to be vaccinated to come in to the park. They keep their employees safer, minimize the risk and can stay open. It may even push some folks to get the vaccine just to go to the park. It's your choice NOT to get vaccinated but it's my choice to support those businesses even more who want to keep us safe.
