Not So Gary - Trip Report 9/16/08-9/23/08

Went back to WDW after a 2 year lay off. WDW is a fun as ever and Disney overall still has the magic. We stayed at The Beach Club which was our first time at that resort. We like the location of Epcot and DHS being so close. We stayed at Boardwalk in 2005. Beach Club is far better then Boarwalk from our opinion.

The CM's are great, they greeted us and asked if we were <insert name> . We said yes, and the CM is said good we were expecting you.

So they take us PAST check in and to the elevators and tell us our room is ready  We get in and he inserts a key and off we go :confused: I've been to Disney enough to know, this is not normal. I ask what is going on? He said oh, did I fail to mention, you have been upgraded to concierge :sohappy:

They have cookies in there !!!

The room was just refurbishment. You could smell the new carpet as you walked in. We were the first to use that room.

I've never done concierge at the Beach Club, but at the GF they have those awesome sugar cookies too! :slurp:
Yep, they have them at the GF as well. They are perfect. Nice and chewy and sweet with just a smattering of sugar sprinkled on top. A proper sugar cookie. We did concierge at the BC once and I was in heaven with those cookies.

Great trip report. I am hoping that the next time we get to go, we can stay at BC. After reading about it and seeing your pictures, I really want to stay there!

I really enjoyed that resort. We modified our plans so we could hang out at the resort more,

I have never spent so much time at the resort(I contribute that to the great resort, not me getting older and not being able to handle all that walking:lookaroun). We went to the pool area at least 5 times, ate at Yactmans and Hannah Grill and a shakee at Beaches n Creams. So much to do, who needs the parks :lookaroun

Thanks for the info. I will most positively look at that resort for our next trip. I hope for summer 2009.
