I don't know about "Most Valuable"...... lets see if Frozen toys still fly off the shelves 38 years after the initial movie's release.

I don't think Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty stuff really "flies off the shelves" at this point, but they are certainly popular enough to warrant a significant park presence. I expect the long term popularity of Frozen to be in the same ballpark at least.

I was making a comparison to a property Disney owns and is just sitting idly by, taking their sweet time.

You guys crack me up! :)
Not everything Disney builds is going to be on the scale of Avatar or Star Wars Land. Could this project have been bigger? Sure, but you can only have so many billion dollar projects going on at a time.

It isn't about the investment or scale. It's about the creativity. The description for this ride is laughable. Also, putting something this popular in a small spot in World Showcase seems lazy. Like others have said, a new land at DHS would make sense. I'm not talking about a Diagon Alley-level investment. It just fits thematically.

Okay, lets look at this..... Assume theyre going to build 2 rooms for our friends. Assume love and shove - 30 seconds/group so 4 people/groups a minute. So 240 people per hour gives you 2880 for a 12 hour M&G. So realistically, 2500-ish groups, probably around 3000 actual people PER DAY.

Thats not adding capacity, thats 3 hours of Frozenstrom capacity.

I would think it would have a similar setup as PFH -- 4 rooms, two separate lines for distinct M&Gs. A+E in one line and another for either Olaf/Kristoff or a "visiting" princess not otherwise in the WS.

Interesting point --- but, to myself and many disney board members -- Mine Train is a HUGE disappoint for what it was advertised at. Yet, you don't hear any backlash from anyone there.... I doubt the general public would be upset with anything Frozen, especially since this actually looks pretty good haha.

The mine train is a disappointment to fans because its a lot less than what it could be.. and compared to other things. But at it's core, its a reasonable small coaster with cool disney elements. Compare it to something like barnstormer and it looks great. It's a letdown to some... but still enjoyable to many. It's also not the 'hottest property' right now either.. unlike say WWOHP... no family was like 'zOMG they have a Snow white attraction now?? lets go!"

If this attraction causes people to wait hours, they get what feels like an abbreviated ride, and are disappointed with the execution... it may just boil over past someone shrugging an attraction off as 'not worth repeating'.

The popularity of the IP makes the standards pretty dang high..

Also I do realize that Star Wars land has not yet started being built, but you have to realize that Disney has teams of people right now working on
-Avatar
-Night Safari
-Rivers of Light
-Redoing basically all the restaurants at DAK
-Disney Springs
-Star Wars Land
-Other new area at DHS.
-Probably re-doing the parking lot and of the restaurants and shops at DHS just like they're doing at DAK. In addition to major road construction in and out of DHS to handle the bigger crowds (like with Disney Springs).
-Possibly several other various projects that are being worked on that we don't know about yet.

All these projects take 5+ years, I don't blame them for wanting something Frozen quickly. Its putting a ride that's going to be a big draw for little kids in park that innately is not a big draw for little kids. Seems pretty smart to me.

Will there be a section that will help me book a family vacation to Arendelle? When I was at Epcot last year, the people in the Norway section looked utterly confused when I told them I didn’t want to visit their silly country, I wanted to go to Arendelle!

I mentioned this earlier, but the added capacity will come from the M&G. I fully believe that the line for that will rival the actual ride. I am not saying I like the idea. However I can totally see the Disney logic in adding the new "attraction" on the expansion plot. You know Disney will call anything an "attraction" these days
Meet and greet capacity is notoriously low, even with a dedicated venue. Even with multiple rooms, throughput is still greatly limited.

It better be more like 4 rooms or they will be in even more trouble expected.

I love that this is being done in a culturally sensitive way, and will continue to inspire future generations to learn about the exciting and diverse countries of the world around them. It fits in perfectly with Norwegian heritage, and helps to further the mission of the park. It’s edutanement at its finest!

Actually, I read it as very tongue in cheek, dripping with sarcasm.

My friend, we've interacted for what, 11 years now? When have you ever known Disney in those 11 years to do anything that made sense or had some foresight to it?

They're in some serious trouble and are woefully underestimating demand.

"Not ambitious enough" seems to be the motto of the day.

You're missing overall infrastructure and rehab. For example, there's big construction on the Disney University parking lot (I know, I know spoiler alert), several resorts with various refurb work, etc.

Also the Hub isn't done.

You really need to look at @ParentsOf4's charts on Capex spending over the past 20 years, comparing Eisner's spending on the Parks vs Igers.

It already is -- here.

Well, so far it looks like it will be a great attraction. Decent length I guess at 4min?

This just seems so "fresh" and the rest of park is so.....not fresh? I dunno. Epcot is still a beautiful park but it really needs-pick-me-ups. Although a step in the right direction I suppose, they cannot rely solely on Frozen. Epcot needs new life. Too much abandoned looking space. Dreamfinder NEEDS to come back and the whole Imagination attraction/area needs an exciting and fresh, yet classic, tasteful makeover. And it is time for Eo & Ellen to go. Both theatres/attractions have so much potential. It's time to update and do it right.
