How is building projects all over the world for decades not sticking? The industry is pretty much run by the people who created EPCOT Center and even Disney now hires their companies.
OK, I don't really want to disagree with that, but, if that is the case why is there so much upset about how the company is being run, how terrible the attractions are and how stupid all the decisions have been. If it is because management doesn't let the imagineers do it their way, then it doesn't matter if you have the best minds in the world, they aren't being listened too, so it is ineffective at worst and and a waste of time at best. It does no good to get trained to do a spectacular job if it is impossible to do, so again... a pure waste of time. Somewhere we have to decide, is Disney in massive decline or is it not. It cannot be both.

Worse. The queue will only be where the old theatre was - and not using all of that space since it'll also house the exit around the edge. The old queue area is no more.

The rest of the queue will be outside. And run all the way to Mexico. Which will be plugged as a huge success.

I hear tell that it will be extended even more and become a combo queue since they're operating under the assumption that "Boiled" which will take place in the fictional country of Quesidilla will make for a great overlay of the Donald and his South American Friends ride in Mexico. Of course they're having a team of writers creating fairy tales for the other phase transitions. Supposedly there is concern that Sublimed and Ionized may be a bit too violent.

What? Is there supposed to be a point to this? What does any of this having to do with people still being alive and producing good work?

Nothing, it was a figure of speech with a large element of truth. It doesn't matter if they are dead or the best that ever was, it's not happening according to most of the experts on the boards. And most of those that did do EPCOT are either dead, nearly dead or retired and/or working for someone else. Why did you insist on making it bigger then it was intended to be. We were talking about results, and the results aren't there regardless of the talent or breathing ability of those specific imagineers. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill and directing the attention away from the point. The point is Disney is not performing in the degree that it was back when EPCOT was born. It's just not happening thus all that knowledge and know how and ability isn't sticking.

This is interesting. Can you explain more, and perhaps provide some references to look into (e.g., book or articles)?
The Themed Entertainment Association, of which Disney is a member, is one big reference. Monty Lunde and many others were part of a massive hiring to build EPCOT Center and Tokyo Disneyland that were then laid off when those projects wrapped up. They went on to create their own companies that now populate the industry, if they had not already done so to act as consultants for those projects. Technifex, BRC Imagination Arts, Alcorn-McBride, Birkett Engineering, and many more. They were then followed by those who built Disneyland Paris, most of whom are now gone from Disney with Tom Morris being the only senior show producer still working, apparently in the role of repeated uncredited savior.

Do you mean the queue will be more like a Disneyland queue?

So it looks like the well is starting to dry up on Frozen photoshop ideas. By the way, I got a good laugh out of many of them, so thank you. It really lightened up the thread.

But don't shut down photoshop just yet. If there's anything even slightly exciting about the rumored Tower of Terror redo... :D
that one isnt funny. Its plain painful.

OK ... well back on topic, has it ever been discussed about the Olaf, and Anna On the lift hill? Projections, AA's? I remember that space on the hill being very constricted .......
Olaf and sven introduce to the attraction. Whether that's in the loading area or on the lift hill remains to be seen.

Er, so how will people get into or out of the gift shop if there's a huge line in the way? Or the bakery? Or Akershus? The interior courtyard of Norway isn't that big to begin with.
Don't worry. I'm sure they've thought of everything.

In all seriousness, imagine going inside for the ride where the old entrance was but then turning left then right into the old theatre. So any exterior line would not be up against the shop window or bakery.

Wow rock work gets done fast when it's that size I suppose. That was literally mesh 5 days ago.
This is one project that they're actually speeding up right now (even though it should have opened already)
Why are they working this fast? Money.
