Up to 2 feet of snow is the most recent I've heard for the city. Wasn't too shabby coming from home from work, but I don't have to drive in it, thank goodness.

The Daughter called to let me know she's OK and outside of Harrisburg, PA..heading to Carlisle. She left Philly at around 11AM. The road is actually clearer the farther west she goes, although the fact that she's about 6 cars behind a snowplow might have something to do with it.

Yay! I love the snow! :sohappy: :sohappy:

We are expected to get up to 2'

I just hope that the power doesn't go out...that would be very bad.

i live in new york, and my girlfriend went to the amazon for a study abroad program. she's been gone for so long, and she's supposed to come back tomorrow.

all she wanted was it to not snow. and now it looks like it came just at the right time so she's going to get stuck away. :(

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (SirNim News Agency) - Approximately 1/2" of snow has fallen so far. Secondary roads, driveways, lawns, etc. blanketed with snow. Snow falling at consistent rate. Visibility is slowly decreasing as the storm system moves over the northeast. Updates will be posted as they become available.

Over a foot on the ground in Southern Ontario..... 50+ MPH winds making virtual white-out conditions, temps are around 0F with wind chills in -20's...

Driving from Toronto, I was forced to use roads that literally had 6-8 inches of snow...on the road!

Took my almost 3 hours for what was about 1 hour going in this morning....

Good luck to all my northern neighbors! If the photos/videos from the middle of the country are hints of what's to come, then I definately don't miss being in Boston.

what was supposed to be a 20 minute trip from VCU to home wednesday turned out to be a 1 hour trip. My grandmother started to come get me but did a 360 on the slick road and decided to go home. She called my uncle who came and got me. It took him an hour to get to VCU and an hour to get me home. The roads were terrible. And VCU was open regular time thursday and friday most of the other colleges in the area were closed, as were the surrounding county public schools (including the city of richmond). Crappy roads and I still had to get up and go to school.

My wife and I have season tickets to the Philadelphia Wings (lacrosse). There was a game tonight and we were originally thinking of taking trains (PATCO and Septa's Broad Street line) to the stadium complex. Thank God the Wacko Center and the NLL (National Lacrosse League) made the right decision and cancelled the game.

The snowblower is sitting right at the garage door ready to go. :sohappy:

Still snowing here. We have about 6 or 7 inches already and its a very fine snow so it should be here awhile. I'm about 45 miles North of NYC and we are looking at about 18 to 24 inches before its done. Just got in from an afternoon out... the snowplows haven't done much, but the driving wasn't that bad. (we have AWD).
