Trip Report No rain, no lines, no crowds, no ADR's, no fastpasses, lots of fun and pool time.

OK, so I am starting my very first trip report. We went Sept. 7-15 and stayed offsite the first night then 7 nights in a one bedroom at Bay Lake Tower. This was an anniversary trip...she has tolerated me for 31 years of marriage now...something that still amazes me.
The first day we arrived around lunch time after driving through masses of lovebugs. We got there during what I understand is the beginning of the fall lovebug season. Wife's new car, white with lots of front bumper space, was covered in the little pains in the you-know-what. We stopped at a couple of gas stations just to top off the tank and try to clean them off a bit (felt we should add a bit of gas since we were using their window cleaner and water and paper towels).
Arrived at DTD, which has become our traditional first stop, and enjoyed the afternoon. Later went to the offsite room, checked in, freshened up a bit then back to DTD for the evening.
Ate at Earl of Sandwich a couple of times on this trip. Walked around, did some shopping, looked at the construction, or I should say at this point construction preparation and deconstruction, and back to the room early after a long day.

The cast of characters for this trip are Mr. and Mrs. epcotisbest, seen here at Epcot last Wednesday with a couple of other suspicious looking characters:

We are hopeful for the changes coming to DTD, but hope it does not become too much of a shopping mall. Time will tell.
We like Rainforest Cafe and saw the remodeled volcano for the first time. It seems to me a company that talks about the environment a lot is not very environmentally friendly with all the gas used in the eruptions...just sayin'.

We have gone to WDW and not carried a camera, we have so many pics already, but decided to take my wife's little Canon point and shoot this trip. Left the Nikon DSLR at home. Quit carrying it a long time ago. The Canon did OK.

Plenty more to come, a little at a time.

Main Street early in the morning is one of my favorite places. I smile to myself as others rush by, taking it all in. I know today is a crowd level of one. The park closes at 7 p.m. for MNSSHP and lots and lots of people are waiting for it. We don't care for the party and will be outta here before then.

I have mentioned by distaste for all things halloween, but gotta admit this scarecrow is about as cute as the scarecrow my wife hangs out with:

Again you have me laughing!! Everyone is always taking pictures of their food and this is the first TR I've read where someone has made their food in their room so I thought I'd be silly and ask for a pic. You delivered!!!! you are a well organized man. :D Love the report!
Thank you for reading along, and the kind words.

"Hey, why don't we go by and look at Be Our Guest while we are here?" she said.
"Yes dear," he said. Yes dear...the two most valuable words in the English language for any husband.

We headed on over to BOG and asked the lady there if we could look around...
Her reply, and I'm not lieing..."Be our guest!"

It is a lovely place and we decided we would come back later for lunch.

Do you notice the early lunch line forming behind the old fat guy in the pic? Only a couple of folks waiting in line at this point, but the line would get longer later.

Great TR! I was at Bay Lake Tower on the 7th before our WDWMagic Girls Cruise, and then at Boardwalk from the 12th-14th. I was keeping an eye out for you, but our paths don't seem to have crossed. I thought it was very hot and humid, and agree that the crowds were quite low--except for the Villains event at DHS on Friday night. That was a madhouse!

It was hot and humid...but we live in GA and are kinda used to hot and humid. Sorry our paths did not cross.
Being crowd phobic we avoided the Villians thing at DHS Friday, but heard it was packed. I hope you got there before the traffic got real bad trying to get in. I heard some people at the pool say buses were backed up all the way out to the road heading in and the lines for the characters was so long you did not even know who you were getting in line for.
Oh, so how was the girl's cruise....looking forward to a TR from that one. My wife mentioned she might like to do that some time.

OK here it is. The photo only I could take. The be all do all photo of the year. The brilliance of the timing, the utter skill in the composition, the graceful mastery of the camera and the eye to even spot this work of art took years of art school just to prepare for this moment. I know you have never seen this one before...thank me later:
