Fwiw, Sorcerer Mickey was at Fantasmic! When I saw it in September, to me the show was great... even though there were a few small effects missing.

It was in a much better state than Splash Mountain to say the least!

I'm going back to Disneyland for my second time this coming spring and I can't wait to watch Fantasmic HD again lol! The Disneyland Resort really does have a knock-out nighttime entertainment line up with Fantasmic! and World of Color. I've also heard rumors of Main Street Electrical Parade returning in 2012, but WHO KNOWS.

Maybe we should start a fundraiser to raise money to repair Fantasmic, haha.

Frankly, I'm surprised that Steve hasn't banned '74 from this forum yet. :hammer:

Which is why he's an admin and you aren't, thankfully. Steve no doubt knows better than to ban someone who hasn't violated any rules and is genuinely intelligent, well spoken, and knowledgeable. Not to mention respectful to others here who show him respect. You on the other hand attack anyone who dares question quality at WDW, even when it's the complete truth. You want them all banned and silenced so you can continue living in your perfect little world without anyone to bring actual intelligent discussion to the table.

It's ridiculous to take offense at this thread and think '74 should be banned for posting truthful facts. It's equally ridiculous that anyone should be ok with yet another decline at WDW.

This is the same guy who accused the operator of a COMICal Place of being on Disney's payroll, correct?

If you don't think Disney is providing a product up to your personal expectations, inform the company and take your vacationing dollars elsewhere. It's really pretty simple.

There really isn't so much need for the sturm and drang shenanigans of the past couple of weeks around here.

I think a majority of us are grown adults. It's a shame that the anonymity of the internet allows a vocal minority to bicker like children. "Sweatshirt moms", "Pixie dust snorters" "Doom and gloomers", ~GFC~ (which according to Google stands for Georgia Forestry Commission), how does any of that propel a discussion forward?

Are you referring to me? If so i have no idea what you're talking about, but i've never done such a thing. Or are you referring to someone else here?:veryconfu

As stated before, everyone has the right to criticize something regardless of whether they enjoy it or not, even if they continue to participate in it. I can like a film but still notice and analyze flaws in it. Taking things as black or white is ridiculous and narrow minded.

The funny thing is that the side that instigates the actual bickering have no decent argument in the matter and just attack on sight. It's possible to notice flaws at WDW and not have fights. The fights come when people like CountryBearFan and yourself try to insult people or tell people to stop going to WDW for noticing declining standards and bad shows at WDW. Sweeping it under the rug doesn't help anything.

I have some remaining months to use my annual pass, and will continue to visit until it expires. I probably won't be renewing for a while until things begin to change. Regardless though, going or not going doesn't change the rights people have to notice issues.

When it comes to my vacation dollars, it's pretty black and white.

If the value of the experience is greater than what I pay then I continue to purchase the product. If it is not, then I don't.

It's not narrow minded at all. It's simple.

The Pixie Dust Brigade do not like when people speak the truth about the mouse... They don't like when Mickey is questioned... They don't like when Mickey is shown to be just another money hungry corporation which is less than perfect and who, lately, gives guests less and less while taking more and more (in WDW anyway)... The Pixie Dust Brigade wants these people to be silenced...

Many people who complain about the money corporations make are motivated by envy. Pure and simple, they for such power and that is their clear motivation. Most know deep down they do not have the ability to achieve greatness so they see their only option as being to bring others down. "Tale as old as time" to coin a disneyesque phrase. Not talking about anyone specific here including you, but I have real suspicions about a few of the doom and gloom squad that populate this place. Envy is a foul character flaw. :hurl:

I doubt anyone does not think he should express his opinion. But he and a few others' constant whinning (and that is exactly what it is at times) sucks the life out of a forum. Many of us come here to discuss a topic we enjoy. It is a bit of escapism. We don't want to just read about an individuals pet grievences as though we are their counselor or something. The self absorbed 'crying on everyone's shoulder' is more than tiresome. There are forums out there that used to thrive and then the d&g groupies ruined them. To the subjects credit, he is nowhere near as bad as he once was. I suspect he has recieved some feedback now and then.

You know he writes about conspiracy theories that Disney populates forums like this with personnel that will advance the companies interests. But I think it much more likely that if Disney wanted to influence fan forums they would populate it with doom and gloomers so as to undermine the sites numbers. I wonder how much swag some of you doom and gloomers are earning with your little scheme. :veryconfu

Turned it right around.

See how I did that?

I went to the second showing of Fantasmic tonight and everything seemed to be working just fine except for Sorcerer Mickey coming out at the top of the mountain. I'm guessing if he has been missing at the top of the mountain its because the lift is broke. Mickey was out on stage conducting the fireworks though.

Yeah...we wouldn't want someone intelligent, extremely well-connected and honest to come in and maybe spread some real insight and knowledge.

Better to just Praise Mickey and keep hitting the pixie dust, 'cause we all know Disney can do no wrong...

Good grief....

Yeah, sure. Come in and spread some insight. Im all for it, but give me the good if your going to give me the bad. Don't show up on a WDW fan site and just ________ and moan about everything crappy going on at WDW. If you hate the way the WDW product is headed, then why are you here? And why still vacation there?

And Im sorry, but i don't find being condescending to anyone with something positive to say about WDW and posting in stupid cryptic messages intelligent.

Have a MAGICal day ~GFC~

The problem is the poster. Uhh..if you think everything going on at WDW is declining and crappy, then why are you posting on a WDW fan website? If Tokyo and Disneyland are so much better, go be a part of their forum where he will find other like minded individuals. Nah, he'd rather post here though where he can stir the pot because that is more fun for people who troll message boards. There is no fun in just having honest conversation about the pros and cons of WDW. Lee seems to think he is "honest", but an honest person would be able to praise WDW where it succeeds, he does NONE of that.

The guys a joke. He's already on my ignore list, so if people would just stop quoting him I wouldn't have to read anything he says. Maybe I'll be lucky enough one day to run into him at a WDW event and I can spit in his Dole Whip and kick him in his zebra domes.

I especially like the part where he threatened him with physical violence, swearing to spit in his drink and kick him in his privates. It's immature, but i am literally sickened by his comment.:hurl:

Ironically, the first sign of flames here was not from '74 or anyone who shares his views, but from those who can't stand the truth and to have their perfect perception of WDW challenged.

On the subject of seeing WDW as more than black and white-

Anyone who is familiar with some of my past posts knows that i praise as well as critique. I make no attempt to hide the fact that i detest WDW management's decline and i especially hate decisions related to Future World in the past. But i'm also happy about a lot of things they've done as well. I love Magic Memories and You. Love the new Pooh queue. Most of everything they did to the Haunted Mansion starting in 2007 and on was great IMO. I'm generally happy about the Fantasyland expansion rides to come. Jury is still out on the Avatar land until i see what is planned.

I don't take my WDW experience as black and white. I can't just love it or hate it completely either way. And yes everyone does have the right to criticize it as they like, even if they still choose to visit. If you saw the need to attack '74 over this topic, it is a sign that you are unhealthily infatuated with something. I found nothing he said condescending until OTHER people started attacking him first, just for stating facts. He just defended himself as anyone should.

I pay top dollar for Disney vacations for my family.

I am happy to see there are critical people out there who keep Disney on its toes, that I may see a fully operational F! instead of an inferior product.
