I mean Tim Burton is back in the fold with Disney now and is working on 2 major motion picture releases.

Why not a huge dark ride/pavilion that incorporates Tim Burton works? (Disney and not).

Have the NBC dark ride...go out and see displays of Batman, Willy Wonka, Sleepy Hollow...and get a haircut in a creepy Sweeney Todd setting...or...move over to chair #2 and get it cut by Edward Scissorhands.

You could eat at Burton's Eatery...and get your favorite Candies and Meat Pies :lookaroun

(Hey, the more I was joking...the more I feel it could really work! )

I too think that they should redo the Animation Building. Why not have an attraction/pavilion that showcases all of the different styles of Disney animation that has been utilitized thus far?

From flipbooks to traditional 2D...then onto Stop Motion/claymation...and Computer Animation...onto CGI with 3D. You could have meet/greets with characters from all different eras of animation. (Since they decided to remove the actual animators). It could even be a darkride through the ages with different effects for transitions.

A giant flipbook turns pages to show a stick-figure Mickey walking...and then he could walk onto the set of Plane Crazy...then fly over Steamboat Willie with him whistling...then Steamboat Willie could be on a river in Snow White...and then so on... (transitions like that).

Um... :veryconfu As far as I read, we are saying the same thing. He admits that it will be demolished for a future purpose but currently it will be a theater. I quite literally said it will be repurposed after its time as a theater is done. I'm not sure what you are asking if we are both saying the same thing... But maybe I missed something...

This was said in context to the question of a Nightmare Before Christmas attraction taking the place of the Hunchback theater. As I said, it won't be such an attraction that will eventually replace the theater. My hint leads to a different, more recently established property of the Walt Disney Company. I didn't say anything that would be disagreeing with Corrus or JROK...

After re-reading that thread, I got the same thing out if it. I took your explanation as it being turned into a ride.

I almost started a post entitled " Giant NMBC Moon to Cover Spaceship Earth" ....or Osbourne Light Spectacular to be renamed "Nightmare before Christmass Light Spectacular"..........or Wishes to be replaced with Nighmare before Christmas Fireworks." .....What is the deal with everyone's obsesion with that movie?.......it was a great movie, but wow there are alot of people who would spend a lot of money theme the parks around it. Give Treasure Planet and Atlantis some cult classic love too.

While I hated Atlantis...I will admit that Treasure Planet was one of the most underrated Disney animated features. Incredible movie with great characters!

The organization that compiles these figures , usually reports thier nubers in mid to late march every year.
What strikes me as a difference in perceptions is the fact that California Adventure is almost the same attendance as Universal Florida, but Disney is spending almost $1 Billion to renovate because of slackish attendance. Im so glad Disney keeps its expectations so high.

I know for a fact WDI has had a blue sky presentation for a Nightmare Before Christmas attraction at Disney Hollywood Studios. It was presented back in 2005 and the place that it was pitched to go was where the Hunchback stage was! How do I know??? I presented the idea. Will the attraction ever come to the studios, I don't know, but they do have the concept within the halls of WDI, Glendale.

Do you mean this concept art?

Any update on what will go in place of the Hunchback theater?

Not the Nightmare ride or any other ride for that matter. It will be a special event theater for cheerleaders, and concerts for NOJ and Grad Nite, Star Wars Weekend Q&A session etc. Plus whatever else they put in there from time to time. It won't have a continuous running show though.

Makes sense, but just doesn't make me happy.

I mean, a nice Nightmare Before Christmas attraction built into the "Holiday" theme back there next to the Osbourne lights spectacle. Sheesh, makes too much sense, I guess. :(
