Nice that Hawkeye popped into the number 2 spot, and that Disney took over the number 1 movie spot. But funny that Netflix has a Disney film for one of their movie listings....

Probably an old 5 year Buena Vista licensing agreement that has yet to expire.Nice that Hawkeye popped into the number 2 spot, and that Disney took over the number 1 movie spot. But funny that Netflix has a Disney film for one of their movie listings....
Maybe, but I just checked Netflix and its not on there. So unless its available outside the US (hadn't checked using my VPN yet), it could be a typo and meant to be a D+ listing.Probably an old 5 year Buena Vista licensing agreement that has yet to expire.
The list is four weeks behind the present. It might have left Netflix in 2022.Maybe, but I just checked Netflix and its not on there. So unless its available outside the US (hadn't checked using my VPN yet), it could be a typo and meant to be a D+ listing.
It appears it was a typo by Nielsen -The list is four weeks behind the present. It might have left Netflix in 2022.
Very happy to see Luca as the top streamed movie of the year. I honestly don't often re-watch movies too much, but I have surprised myself by watching Luca a few times this year and think it might be one of my favourite Pixar movies despite being one of the more low-key ones.Top streams for the whole year of 2021...

Surprise! ‘Criminal Minds’ Was 2021’s Most-Streamed TV Show in the U.S.
Netflix's library of older licensed TV shows far outperforms original shows like "Squid Game" or "Bridgerton," per Nielsen data.variety.com
7B minutes so far. That's equivalent to seeing the whole movie 70M times. Those Encanto numbers are impressive.
It depends on how they consider "acquired", does it mean owned by someone else and then purchased to be reshown on the streamer. Or does it mean second run no matter who owns it? What about shows that didn't originate on the streamer but the parent company who originally produced the show is now owned by the streamer, such as Fox content now owned by Disney. And what about shows that didn't originate on a streamer but has since been picked up by the streamer for new seasons, where does that fall? Not that I necessarily think that they will get enough views to appear on this chart, but I would guess the Netflix Marvel shows that are going to appear on Disney+ will be considered in the "acquired" category, right?
DareDevil did appear for a week on the charts around the time No Way Home hit theaters. Not that I necessarily think that they will get enough views to appear on this chart, but I would guess the Netflix Marvel shows that are going to appear on Disney+ will be considered in the "acquired" category, right?
