I have many stories about wonderful cast members at Disney, but two stick out for me:
Every year, on the night we arrive and the night before we leave, my family and I eat at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. We always request to be seated so that Oscar is our waiter. He is absolutely wonderful!!! He is friendly, outgoing, hilarious, personable, knowledgeable, and exactly what a Disney CM should be. My brother and I both have food allergies, so the first year we were there we had to ask Oscar what foods were made with nuts or nut oils. Oscar went in the back and brought out the chef to talk to us! At the end of the meal, he brought out a special dessert for us that he had made himself especially for us!! :king: Every year, we request him, and every year he does something special for us. Last year, he brought out a special dessert sampler that the chefs made special that had "Happy Anniversary" on it to remember all the times we had been there with him. He is simply the best! :sohappy:
Another of my favorite CMs I never actually met. When I was seven, I stayed at Port Orleans with my family. One night, we realized that my teddy bear was gone.
We called the front desk, and we figured out that the maid must have picked it up when she changed the sheets that morning. They tried to look for it, but never found it. Of course, I was up all night crying. But the next morning, the maid left a letter for us saying how sorry she was about it. For the rest of the trip, she arranged all of the stuffed animals I made my parents buy to compensate all around the room. One day, Pluto chased the toilet paper out of the bathroom and onto the bed. Another day, Pooh was watching TV on the bed with the remote on his lap. As upset as I was about my teddy bear, she made me laugh every day when I got back to my room! I wish I knew her name so I could thank her. :animwink:
