How's Clay Matthews doing?
He's gotten one penalty for a late hit (which was questionable). No sacks, don't think he's had a tackle, but our defense is performing pretty well. I think his overall presence is really helping.

Halftime in Green Bay, Eagles lead 10-3. The Packers have missed a lot of opportunities, though. Two missed FGs, and an interception in the endzone. Plus, on the Packers' second to last play of the half, Jones almost had a TD. I'm very pleased with what Tolzien has been able to do, however. Aside from that one interception, I think he's played very well for someone who hasn't taken a snap with the first-team.

So the Packers' emergency QB is FB John Kuhn. I would be surprised if the Packers didn't give Flynn a hard look this week.

Also, there are now 6 injuries in this game.

I have to rant about this. The Eagles just scored a TD on a long pass, but the ball moved as Riley Cooper hit the ground, the nose of the ball hit the ground, and then Cooper secured the ball. And they "confirmed" it upstairs. I really don't think they paid much attention to the play. It was at least worthy of a closer look.

I'm going to say it again - that's the game. Unless Scott Tolzien turns into Aaron Rodgers in the clutch AND our defense can defend something.

Giants on a 3 game winning streak. Hopefully we can turn this season around. All we need is our pitiful passing game and special teams to improve. Our defense is playing outstanding, and our running game looked good today with Andre Brown. Up next Green Bay.

Jaguars up 29-20 after a pick six thrown by Tenesee. Looks like they will win, finally. They're 2-20 in their last 22, both of those wins coming against the Titans

I've always liked Andre Brown over David Wilson. Brown clearly has better ball control than Wilson and he can take those 2-3 yard initial runs into 5-7 yard runs. He definitely knows how to grind it out. But aside from the inexcusable turnovers (Eli mismanaged the 2 minute offense again with the pick six at the 1st half and who in anyone's crazy mind calls a screen pass on 3rd and long?! I bet social media was destroying Killdrive like crazy...) and Steve Weatherford's miscues, it was a needed win. Fewer penalties in the game for the Giants, which is a good start. I hope it stays that way! And the defense made some huge plays, something that was missing the first six games.

I made that same mistake, hours earlier. With the way the games are, I think this might be the week @afarese takes the lead in pick em.....
In the early games, I'm likely to go 3-6. I need to start picking upsets or something, because this obviously isn't working out.

Wow, Andy Dalton chucks a Hail Mary to the Endzone and after a deflection it lands in the hands of AJ Green. Bengals come back from 17-0 defecit to force OT

I feel that when you play NFL pick em, one has to think that there are going to be upsets no matter what. So it's really a matter of deciding and assessing which games are more likely to end in an upset. It is true that every once in a while, you lose a point because of a freak upset but I mean, it just happens. It's like fantasy football. You bench a guy thinking he'll have a bad game or won't put enough stats but he goes out there and delivers and his performance had you started him, would've won your matchup in fantasy. It's tough to swallow, but you'll have to bite your tongue and accept it as is.
