I read a column on Packers.com called "Ask Vic" written by Vic Ketchman, where he takes and answers questions. Here is one question he answered about signing Flynn where he makes some good points.

Vic, do you think the Packers will try to get Matt Flynn back, seeing that he’s on the market? Would love to hear your take on him.

There are over 2,000 emails in my inbox and the preponderance of those emails are asking the same question: Will Matt Flynn save us? The answer is no, at least not this week. Mike McCarthy said on Tuesday that Seneca Wallace will be the Packers’ starting quarterback on Sunday against the Eagles, unlessAaron Rodgers was to walk into McCarthy’s office and ask for the ball. That’s a tongue-in-cheek remark but I got a kick out of it. I understand why so many fans want the Packers to sign Flynn. It makes a lot of sense, but there’s a lot we don’t know. Our lasting memory of Flynn is for having thrown for 480 yards and six touchdowns against the Lions in the 2011 regular-season finale. That was two years ago. Since then, Flynn has signed with the Seahawks, ostensibly to be their starting quarterback, lost the quarterback battle to Russell Wilson, was traded to the Raiders and then cut by the Raiders, who took a big hit in doing that, signed by the Bills and then cut by the Bills. I watched the Chiefs-Bills game on Sunday. The Bills were quarterbacked by a rookie who, aside from throwing an interception that was returned 100 yards for a touchdown, really struggled. I thought to myself how could Flynn not be the quarterback? Please keep all of that in mind, and keep in mind that the Packers have a pro personnel department that keeps tabs on every player in the league. They know the truth; we don’t. In time, we will.

So now I've read that Rodgers is likely out 4-6 weeks. This was reported by the same reporter who said 3 weeks yesterday. But the article says that some sources believe that he is closer to 4 weeks. I think they are just trying to get views on their webpages.

So Wade Phillips will be the interim coach for Houston. Meanwhile, the Jonathan Martin incident keeps getting twisted. By the looks of it, the teammates are defending Incognito. Tannehill insisted Martin and Incognito were "friends" while Brian Hartline claimed Martin was laughing at one of Incognito's vicious voicemails. I personally was appalled by what Rolle said the other day. People need to realize that what works for some, may not work for all. For some people, simply being told to fight back in a physical form doesn't always work. It can easily be misinterpreted as the victim being the aggressor and vice versa so you could the brunt of a punishment even though you claim it was "self defense". I mean, don't they say actions speak louder words?

Reaction is very split everywhere I've read but here are some comments I read on ESPN that I thought resonated strongly:

"I'm getting sick of hearing anyone with this blame the victim mentality cloaked in the language of trying to define manhood as if we're still in the stone-age. Those that abuse and harass are guilty of their actions and NO ONE ELSE IS (Rolle: " I think the other guy is just as much to blame as Richie, because he allowed it to happen."). Why? Because he's a "man"? And real men should be able to impose their will on another? Like Incognito? Anyone who doesn't have the tools or doesn't believe they have the ability, help or outlet to prevent or stop the abuse is not therefore complicit in the abuse. Part of being an adult (man or woman) is taking full and absolute responsibility for your actions and not putting ANY blame, for any reason, on anyone else- especially not on the victim."

"Just because a guy is a 300 lb lineman in the NFL doesn't mean he has the heart to fight. Some guys regardless of size or athletic skill aren't built to be violent. Martin is not a violent guy. Incognito, like the school yard bully that he's always been sniffed that out JUST like school house bullies do. There's 140 lb "pit bulls" whom I would say "that guy is going to be tough to beat" simply because he has a scrapers mentality. Martin doesn't have that mentality. I don't blame him AT ALL considering Incognitos history AND the associations he has (Mike Pouncey, Aaron Hernandez). Hernandez is facing murder charges for something trivial. Incognito has serious mental issues. With his associations, Martin, being the shy, non violent person he is, probably thought his life could be in danger at some point. People have killed or greatly harmed others for much less. We tell our kids to take the non violent approach if possible. I'm sure this situation was killing Martin as well. Here's a teammate, a fellow lineman harassing him to this point and they are NFL PLAYERS!!!"

"Unless you are a mind-reader, or spent every living minute of Martin's life by his side, you have no idea what hand he was dealt, what goes through his mind, how his mind even WORKS."

"Some people, regardless of gender, age, size, or occupation, just do not have it in them to be confrontational, especially face to face. Some people will avoid confrontation at all cost. As for going to the coaches, it's very likely he believed if he went to the coaches, then he would also have been chastised for being a "tattle-tale."

"Funny how this 'be a man' thing seems to only apply to Martin in some people's minds. Grown men should not be picking on people like they are children."

Giants place David Wilson on IR, and activate Andre Brown. This season couldn't have gone any worse for Wilson
He could have suffered a career-ending injury, been let go from his team for racial slurs against a teammate, had four consecutive games with pick-sixes, or the worst of all... played for the Jaguars. *gulp*

Now Rodgers' apparently suffered a "chipped" collarbone, and I just watched a segmant on NFL Network that says he wouldn't be affected by this injury, and it's just a matter of pain-relief, but this injury should take about 3 weeks to heal and relieve pain.

My thoughts: Nobody outside of the Packers organization knows what the true problem is.

A couple of headlines:

- The Packers plan to work out Matt Flynn sometime soon, supposedly they are worried about the elbow injury that has bugged him the past two seasons

- Clay Matthews expects to play on Sunday - with a club

- Ed Reed has been benched after his lackluster season so far

Reports have come out saying the Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland and HC Joe Philbin are expected to lose their jobs over the Richie Incognito scandal. Ireland should have lost his job a while ago, but Philbin seemed to me like an up-and-coming head coach.

Seneca Wallace looks like he tweaked his hamstring on the first drive of the game. Scott Tolzien took the snaps on the second drive. The Packers don't have another QB. Let's hope Wallace gets back in there.

EDIT- Wallace has a groin injury, and his return is questionable. Not sure how bad it is since Wallace is still on the sideline, and it looks like he's trying to stretch it out.

Also, this is a very weird Packers game. Probably one of the weirdest I remember. Already 4 injuries (three Eagles players are out for the game), and some bad officiating (but I'm not complaining because both calls benefited the Packers). Two missed FGs, a missed interception that turned into an Eagles' TD, a 76 yard interception by the Eagles in the endzone. Just weird.

EDIT- Make that 5 injured players.

EDIT 2- Make that 3 missed FGs. :banghead:

I never thought I would see a Kellen Clemens lead team be winning against a good team 28-0..wow. And the Jaguars might actually get their first win. Embarrasing for the Titans
