Fantasy Football provides an element of competition either against your friends or users. The Pro Bowl does nothing. I sincerely doubt the Pro Bowl players there have an incentive to win like fantasy football users....

Ha! I never thought about the commute issue. But moving the SB to the Friday before would certainly be better for my schedule.
But yeah, there would be a ton of angry people if you moved it to Friday, or probably even Saturday. If they have to move it, it will likely put the kibosh on having the SB anywhere that is not warm or domed.
They should just do wipeout:nfl edition
That certainly would not help with all the players that don't do the Pro Bowl b/c of fear of injury! Seriously, I do not know how it is that show is not constantly sending people to the hospital. It would be fun to watch, though. Even better for me would be to have them do that "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow" type thing.
In addition to the events suggested by @jw24, and maybe a mini combine, I think they should do something like the old Battle of the Network Stars. That would be fun to watch, and maybe less injurious to the players.
The Broncos just landed in Newark, and it's funny listening to the guys on NFL Network breaking down their exiting the plane. "Well, not many of them have camera... well there's one guy with a camera. I can't make out who it is. They're dressed in suits and ties. John Fox is probably just letting them do their thing."

The rules made it something different to watch. It's not just like a game we see every week, but it mixes things up. My friend was saying the same thing. Usually the Pro Bowl is awful, but we both actually were entertained.

Well, even so, the Pro Bowl ratings dropped again. 11.7 million compared to 12.5 million two years ago. It was competing against the Grammys but still, that is not promising....
