NFC Title Game can't be Packers at 49ers; that game would be in the second round. If Green Bay beats Minnesota in the first round they go to San Fran, and Atlanta would host the winner of Wash/Sea.

I'm trying to figure out who the Pats play in the 2nd round, depending on the victor.

It depends on who wins the #3 Texans vs. #6 Bengals.

If Texans win:

Winner of #4 Balt/#5 Indy @ #1 Denver

#3 Texans @ #2 New England

If Bengals win:

#6 Bengals @ #1 Denver

Winner of #4 Balt/#5 Indy @ #2 New England

Basically the lowest winning seed left from the first round would go to Denver, the highest remaining seed would go the New England.

Actually, I thing Minnesota can beat the packers, but not San Francisco.
Minnesota would have to beat the Packers AND Atlanta to play San Fran. San Fran would get Wash/Sea winner in the 2nd round if Minnesota beat Green Bay.

If that happened, and Minnesota beat Atlanta in the 2nd round, I agree that San Fran would beat Minnesota.

Many peeps don't realize that Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay under him as a starter are 1 and done in every post season other than their impressive Super Bowl run and triumph! Hey they won the Super Bowl, and we can't ever take that away. A 2nd ring really means something. What I wouldn't give for a playoff win, much less a Super Bowl victory. Just can't imagine that down here in Atl.

I don't think San Fran has what it takes to make it to the Super Bowl. I'm not sold on them with Kaepernick. They should've stuck with Alex Smith; he's a much better fit into the type of offense they have now. Kaepernick should have been saved for their future plans. I see San Fran losing to the Packers if they win this week, but I would see them beating Seattle or Washington. Remember, the last time these two teams met was in week 1 and both teams are VERY different than what they were. The Packers are better and the 49ers are worse, IMO.

Meanwhile, Minnesota is a hot team right now. If they get behind, I can't see Ponder keeping up with Aaron Rodgers, especially since this might be the first time all season that the entire Packers receiving core has all healthy (assuming Cobb is back). Green Bay needs to hold Peterson to just a good game. If he has another great game (like the last two matchups), then the it'll go down to the wire last last week and the game will be determined by whoever has the ball last. It should be a good game.

The Redskins can win if they hold Lynch. Russell Wilson is good, I just don't think he's to the point of his career where he can carry a team on his back. Seattle doesn't have many good receivers, but they have a good defense. Seattle can win if they hold Griffin in both the passing and running game, and they need to stop Alfred Morris as well. Washington has been the best running team in the league this year.

The Texans have their work cut out for them. They are struggling at the worst time. Schaub only has one TD pass in his past 3 or 4 games, and has been averaging 3 or 4 sacks a game during that period. Foster needs to carry the load, as the Texans don't have much of a passing attack outside of Andre Johnson. The Bengals need to get the ball to AJ Green, and they have to rely on their dominant defense in order to stop Foster.

The Colts and Ravens is my hardest matchup to predict. The Ravens need a consistent offense and they need to use Ray Rice a lot and Joe Flacco has to play a decent game. He can't make some of the poor throws that he's been making, otherwise the Colts will win. Andrew Luck has to lead the Colts with his passing game like he's been doing. Reggie Wayne and TY Hilton are going to be targeted a lot. I see the Colts having a decent day against this ailing Ravens defense.

Yes, we've been one and done under Aaron Rodgers, but that wild card game against Arizona three years ago easily could have gone our way. The defensive TD that Arizona got should have been erased due to a very obvious facemask penalty that wasn't called. Should that have been called, I don't think either defense could or would have stopped either offense.

Last year we were just bad. McCarthy will have a different mentality going into this post season. BJ Raji admitted that last year he was focused on his stats a lot. This year he says he doesn't care about them, which has elevated his play as football is a team game.

All in all, I think it will be a close game if the Pack can't get going right away. If we start off better than last week we should win. We started off with a 13 point deficit.

Oh and also, there's a similarity between this weeks game and the Arizona game three years ago. We played Arizona in the last game of the regular season and the first week of the playoffs. Same as this year except with the Vikings. Except we won the regular season game against Arizona and lost the Minnesota game last week. Not that it has much to do with the outcome, but kind of interesting.

Well Ray Lewis is calling it quits after the playoffs this year. He was a phenomenal player, and it will be much different without seeing him in the Ravens defense.

I tried to make predictions for the entire playoffs, but I just found it too difficult to predict. My wildcard predictions are this, though:

Wildcard
Bengals @ Texans (Bengals: 23/Texans: 17)
Vikings @ Packers (Packers: 30/Vikings: 24)
Colts @ Ravens (Ravens: 23/Colts: 21)
Seahawks @ Redskins (Seahawks: 24/Redskins: 23)

Wildcard
Bengals @ Texans - Texans 31-14
Colts @ Ravens - Colts 27-17
Vikings @ Green Bay - Vikings 24-17 (not sure here, if Green Bay wins, they will beat San Fran as well)
Seattle @ Washington - Washington 24-21

Divisional

Not confident enough with the above....but it wouldn't surprise me for New England to be the only team with a bye to win in the divisional round...If the above IS correct:

Divisional round:

Texans @ New England - New England 35-21
Colts @ Denver - Colts 21-17
Vikings @ Atlanta - Atlanta 28-28
Washington @ San Fran - Washington 30-21

You had the exact opposite picks as I did! :p I find this week very unpredictable. Each game will be close I think. So hard to tell.

I would never want to be the Chiefs Coach, if I was Andy Reid, I would've tried to go for the Bears head coaching job

I wouldn't mind being the Chiefs coach. Aside from the salary, they have a great WR, two good RBs, a stud LB, some nice players on the D-line, some nice players in the secondary and a better offensive line than what some teams have (Cardinals, Bears, Packers to name a few.) All the Chiefs need is to pick up a QB somewhere (Alex Smith?) and I think they are back to wild card quality. Of course, Andy Reid will have to be a better coach than he has in the past couple years and get back to when he was in the playoffs often.

Great end of regular season for my Carolina Panthers! Not at all the season we wanted, but at least we ended it on the right foot, er um, paw.
Now us Panther fans get the pleasure of sitting back and watching the NFL's Team Of Folly (Atl), do what they do best in the playoffs....CHOKE!! One week & counting, let the show begin! Lol

I am concerned about the Falcons being in the playoffs. Granted, I would like to see them go far and win their first Super Bowl ring, but I just don't see that happening. The way these matchups all look, the Falcons are small children trapped in a grownup's arena, and I fear they will be trampled once again. Matt Ryan is a good QB and very decent human being. Hopefully someday he can sign with a team which will get him to the SB. I hate to see his talent go to waste in the city of playoff disappointment, the same way I hated to see baseball's Chipper Jones trapped in a city which could not achieve him multiple WS titles, which he was certainly worthy of winning.

Christian Ponder is out. Joe Webb will start. Still have to say I'm nervous as Webb can run the ball. Go Pack Go!
