We'll it's a bittersweet feeling for me as a Packers fan. We lost, but we kept the Bears out of the playoffs, and kept Peterson from the record. Now I just hope we can win next week against Minnesota. It'll be at Lambeau which will be a much different environment. Also, Crosby was consistent today. That makes me very happy. :D
All I know is Atlanta can Play 1 of 4 teams in the 2nd round:

1) #6 Minnesota if they beat #3 Green Bay OR If Green Bay wins,
2) Winner of #4 NFC East Champ (Washington/Dallas winner tonight) and #5 Seattle

Still not confident with any of those 4, even though we have already beat two of them!

AFC

Texans might be 1 and done
Baltimore beats the Colts

All I can say is Lovie needs to go. Who's with me? It should have never gotten to the point of the bears needing a certain team to lose for them to make the playoffs. I know a lot of people really seam to think Lovie is a great coach, I just really don't see it.

The Bears will never be a great team under Lovie Smith. He's a terrible game manager, and the only thing he knows is defense. He never seems like he's able to motivate players, and he is emotionless. Football is a game of emotions. If you look at the great coaches in the league now and in the past, they all have strong emotions.

With that said, I hope Lovie Smith stays. :D

Shocking coming from a packer fan! ;)
The emotion thing really doesn't bother me all that much. I just will not be able to stand another season of:

"we get off the buss running"
"we like are offensive line"
"we have a great bunch of receivers"

Its a league of offense and Lovie just can't cut it.

So, it's time for me to pick a team to cheer on for the rest of the year. The one time I wanted the Pack to win they lose.

As far as Lovie goes, I believe I'm in agreement that it's time for him to move on. We certainly need some offensive changes. Not quite sure what that is at the moment though. If going to the playoffs isn't motivation enough for a team I don't know what it is. I have to say that we are moving in the right direction with Marshall, Jeffery, etc. but unless some other folks step up and learn how to protect the quarterback and learn how to keep him safe, we're doomed. Something certainly needs to change.

I'm of the opinion that Hester is not a good wide receiver as well. His play this entire year left something to be desired. Not sure what his deal is but he has not impressed me at all this year. I say it's time to move him back to special teams and leave him there and bring on another big one, whoever that may be.

Oh well, as we say in Illinois, there is always next year :O

I'm a Pats fan and I think they can do it, but going into Denver and winning is going to be tough. But what a great AFC Title Game it will be. I'm hoping the 49ers win the NFC so if the Pats make it to the SB, they can get some payback.

AFC Title Game: Pats at Broncos
NFC Title Game: Packers at 49ers
Super Bowl: Broncos versus 49ers - Broncos win.

So many head coaches fired today already!

Lovie Smith
Pat Shurmur
Romeo Crennel
Andy Reid
Chan Gailey

Those are only the ones that have happened right now. Not including GMs.

Since I was rooting for the Steelers...o_O

I want the Broncos to win it all. What Peyton Manning has accomplished after 4+ neck surgeries is nothing short of amazing. I'd love to see him win the Superbowl. I wouldn't mind seeing Peyton play Tom Brady or Andrew Luck in the AFC Championship. It would just be nice to see him beat Brady AGAIN and to beat his former team as well.

Pretty much...anybody but the Ravens!!

NFC Title Game can't be Packers at 49ers; that game would be in the second round. If Green Bay beats Minnesota in the first round they go to San Fran, and Atlanta would host the winner of Wash/Sea.

So I pick the winners of every game each week for fun and my record this season was 169-87*. The asterisk was for the Seattle and Green Bay game.

I also predict the records for every team in the NFL right before the preseason starts (I go through every game to do this, yes I know, I have no life, but I find it fun.)

Here's what they were.

NFC North
Bears (10-6)
Lions (7-9)
Packers (15-1)
Vikings (2-14)
NFC East
Cowboys (7-9)
Giants (11-5)
Eagles (9-7)
Redskins (6-10)
NFC West
Cardinals (4-12)
Rams (4-12)
49ers (11-5)
Seahawks (11-5)
NFC South
Falcons (11-5)
Panthers (7-9)
Saints (10-6)
Buccaneers (8-8)
AFC North
Ravens (13-3)
Bengals (6-10)
Browns (3-13)
Steelers (10-6)
AFC East
Bills (6-10)
Dolphins (3-13)
Patriots (14-2)
Jets (6-10)
AFC West
Broncos (11-5)
Chiefs (7-9)
Raiders (5-11)
Chargers (9-7)
AFC South
Texans (12-4)
Colts (6-10)
Jaguars (2-14)
Titans (9-7)

Red means I got their record correct.
Blue means I was one (or half) game off.
Black means I was 2+ games off.

Just thought I'd share that with you.
