well, seeing as i'm the ONLY one looking at the Panthers here :p...

this is the way the Panthers get into the playoffs:
-St. Louis loses tonight (hosting Philly) or next week (vs. the Jets) both very plausible.
-St. Louis loss puts Seattle as NFC West winners.
-6th seed comes down to one and only one game: New Orleans at Carolina. and Carolina CAN win.

Trust me, you're not. :animwink:

I drive myself nuts this time of year trying to figure out all the different scenarios. I hate having to wait for the TV and Internet people to spell it out for me (although, I admit, once it gets down past the 3rd tiebreaker, I give up.)

It only occurred to me about halfway through the Panthers-Bucs game yesterday that New Orleans and Carolina both winning eliminated all those 9-loss teams in the NFC. I'm hoping the Eagles win tonight to make things really simple. If the Rams win their last two, they can still get in if the Saints and Panthers TIE. Yeesh.

Greetings Denver and Buffalo fan(s). The Jaguars were in a giving mood Sunday, or perhaps it was Houston's grinch behavior, but after the 0-21 shellacking at home, all but the most diehard should concede this year's playoffs are for others.

Leftwich is going to be good, but this isn't his year. Still, the NFL channel documentary on their training camp was fun, wasn't it?

Shouldn't be a problem. Yes, even without you know who. They still have 5 and 36. Even if it was Blake and Mahe playing I still don't see the Rams posing a strong threat. Martz is an idiot and that team has been schizo all year.

Yes, I'd like to thank you. The Broncos Organization appreciates your generosity and good luck next year.

Funny thing is, if you won you'd be in before we would be.

Wow, the Rams are horrible. We had 3rd stringers in there and they still had problems with us. That should have been blowout city.

I don't know if I like the idea of sitting so many starters. Sure, it makes sense to avoid injuries, but it also means they'll be going into the playoffs with a couple losses (assuming they lose next week) and the psychological effect (particularly after losing TO) of not going out with their best players and winning might hurt them more than injurys.

Plus, with the week off for the first round, you take the risk of starters being rusty when they really need their best game.

We'll see how it shakes out, but that game last night just gave me sort of a "yeeecchh" feeling - like french kissing your own sister, or like shaking someone's hand and having them just hold it out there limp.

Yeah, but I trust Andy's judgement. Throughout his tenure with the Eagles, he's made countless decisions that have people question him and he always seems right at the end. Sooo... though I feel uneasy about it, I'm just gonna trust him.

As long as they are good enough to win next week, that's all that matters

I'm embarasssed to be a Buffalo Bills fan. I don't feel like saying anything else about it. Rian Lindell and Drew Bledsoe can find a new team to screw up next year.
